Conservative columnist George Will told PJM he has officially left the Republican Party and urged conservatives not to support presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump even if it leads to a Democratic victory in the 2016 presidential election.
Will, who writes for the Washington Post, acknowledged it is a little too late for the Republican Party to find a replacement for Trump but had a message for Republican voters.
Make sure he loses. Grit their teeth for four years and win the White House, Will said during an interview after his speech at a Federalist Society luncheon.
Will said he changed his voter registration this month from Republican to unaffiliated in the state of Maryland.
This is not my party, Will said during his speech at the event.

All good points, all showing that we can’t wait another four years. See ya, George!
Good riddance, even.
Any “conservative” that votes for SWMNBN is a turncoat. He has lost respect, our confidence and support. Not to mention that he cares nothing about we the people or this nation.
Trump, you magnificent bastard !
Toilet-licker George Will, subservient to his wife,
who toils for GOP RINO losers, is an undocumented
Democrat. Always was. Those fake bowties show there
is fake grey matter inside.
George Will, while an intellectual, is also an atheist. He views all morality through a political lens. The writings of Madison mean more to him than Scripture. He is lost. Completely lost, and he is running out of time.
George sounds a lot like those who insisted allowing Obama a second term was the “principled” thing to do - the problem with that sort of “principled game plan” is that you may repeat it ad infinitum w/o ever actually ever winning again.
Will has admitted to being an ATHEIST.....he should just change to Democrat.
“Conservative columnist George Will told PJM he has officially left the Republican Party “
He left it a long time ago and became an enabler for the leftist anti-Americans out there.
He is their token “conservative”
Lets not forget Colin Powell. Its about time for the left to bring him out to lecture all about conservative principles.
This man is a self-described atheist. He has no moral compass.
He is off the panel too
at least he hasn’t been there recently
Hillary sure is getting a lot of “conservative” support.
Right, forgot about him.
Never a conservative, an obummer-voting affirmative action baby that placed allegiance to race over the needs of this great nation.
Correct. The anti-American cabal to which Will belongs is being tossed to the curb.
And he thinks we care because?
I quit the GOP too. But not for the same logic as George Will.
Trump’s not my ideal candidate, but he won the GOP primaries fair and square. The GOPe may not like the result, but this is the process they created, it was a democratic system, and Trump won. But the GOPe does not respect its rank and file members. Instead we have heard nothing but contempt and condescension from the party leaders and pundits, and we have even heard rumblings of a convention coup. Looks to me like the system is “rigged” after all.
Maybe the GOPe should take some time to respectfully listen to their rank and file voters for a change - a little introspection into why so many people preferred Trump to the many other choices - and begin the reform process that will lead to a bigger and better party and a better country.
If Will is an intellectual, I’m a genius.
You’ve been fooled by his patina of big words.
George “Donald Trump’s rhetoric has huwt my wittle feelings because my pointy-head cannot process his existence as a self-made brash bazilionnaire who actually does not worship at my wittle feet wike the west of the GOP does, so I will sit on my own $30M fortune while my country burns for 4 years under Hitlary and suck my thumb” Will?
Puhleeze! If I were still a member of the Federalist Society I would resign my membership over their giving him a podium for his infantile prattling. Mr Will is the POSTER CHILD for completely out of touch “academic intellectual deep thinkers” on the erstwhile “right.”
