CLEVELAND, Ohio -- With an estimated 1.3 million Cavs fans lining downtown Cleveland streets Wednesday morning and afternoon, you had to get up pretty early to score a good seat for the celebration parade and festivities.

The City of Cleveland and much of Ohio turned up in massive numbers to congratulate the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Downtown business district burst to the seems with over 1.3 million people and tens of thousands of others where unable to even get into the city center area due to the congestion.
The city did a great job with preparing for the onslaught with few incidents of crime and almost no violence. They had only three days to get the city ready for the parade and the crowd more than doubled expected estimates of the amount of people who would attend.
There was no rioting, mayhem or burning of cars and couches as the crowd was almost to a person respectful and happy!
Congratulations to the Cavaliers and to the citizens of Northeast Ohio in keeping it classy and to the police and city hall for keeping people safe.
Only draw back, too much garbage left due to new regulations requiring the removal of waste containers during large scale events due to potential use as recepticals to leave bombs.

It was incredible! I took the bus down W25th to the West Side Market and walked across the bridge. It seemed that from before the bus even got to the zoo, it was a massive sea of people striving to get downtown. The RTA was absolutely impressive, getting as many people "downtown" as they can.
The bridge was a sea of people that emptied into the beginning to the parade route. And this was at 9AM!
I can't imagine that ANY city could have done it better! From my vantage point, I got a real fine view of the beginning of the parade, and got to share the experience....on the bus, at the West Side Market, crossing the bridge, and at that very excellent vantage point, with uncountable masses of enthralled, well behaved, charming and PROUD Clevelanders.
