Pittsburgh news anchor fired after racist Facebook post says it was because she is white
A Pittsburgh news anchor fired for a Facebook post stereotyping black people as criminals is suing, saying she was let go because she is white.
Wendy Bell, then a presenter at WTAE, caused a social-media firestorm with a March post, where she wrote that still-unidentified shooting suspects were probably black.
You neednt be a criminal profiler to draw a mental sketch of the killers who broke so many hearts two weeks ago Wednesday ... They are young black men, likely in their teens or in their early 20s, she said.
They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before.

The 18-year veteran at the station later admitted that her comments could be viewed as racist and apologized, but was kicked out for what her employers called a lack of judgment.

In an era of universal lies, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
This common-sense observation was (in the words of a NEWSpaper) “a racist Facebook post.”
Quick tip: Africans, like most groups, stereotype themselves. Outsiders that see the obvious are not responsible for African behavior. When will people pick up on this?
“In an interview with The Associated Press on the day she was fired, Bell said she did not get a fair shake from the station, and that the focus on her comments was a distraction from the issue of African-Americans being killed by other African-Americans.
Bell joined WTAE in 1998 and has won 21 Emmy Awards.”
That's a fairly big and unsupported presumption. I would first ask the author of this missive to prove her motivations for the facebook post were racial. I would contend her comments appear to be rather uninspired, simply going with what is statistically most likely.
If I say "A terrorist bomb exploded today in ..." and you immediately start wondering what ISIS or Al-Queda et. all is up to now... That's not racist, bigoted, or prejudiced, that's an acknowledgement that virtually all terrorist acts in the last few years have been perpetrated by muslim extremists, and ISIS / Al-Queda are just the latest incarnation.
WTAE has ended its relationship with anchor Wendy Bell, Hearst Television, the stations owner, said in a statement at the time of the incident. Wendys recent comments on a WTAE Facebook page were inconsistent with the companys ethics and journalistic standards.
“Ethics” “Journalistic Standards” ????
Those words do not equate with the condition of news media today.
Reddit’s post-Orlando purge has forum’s users questioning commitment to free speech
By John Brandon Published June 21, 2016 FoxNews.com
A Reddit moderator deemed entire threads offensive and deleted them in what was seen as an obvious attempt to remove comments that took a certain political viewpoint, especially those that suggested Islamic terrorist attacks are on the rise in the United States.
Users complained about the censorship.
She’s white, therefore evil. That’s their banner.
She should make a wager with the station. If the perps turn out to be black, she keeps her job. And vice versa.
They have multiple siblings from multiple fathers and their mothers work multiple jobs. These boys have been in the system before.
Is it racist if it's true? Were the killers young blacks?
Her husband is black.
Her husband is not black.
I live in Pittsburgh. No arrests have been made yet in that case but the two suspects brought in for questioning are black. Big shocker.

Heather Mac Donalds The War on Cops
By Thomas Lifson
If you have been looking for an antidote to Black Lives Matter, Heather Mac Donalds new book published today, The War on Cops: How the New Attack on Law and Order Makes Everyone Less Safe, is the prescription.
Ms. Mac Donald is the most effective, articulate, and knowledgeable writer today on issues of law enforcement and criminal justice. In this book, she has brought together a powerful refutation of the lefts efforts led by the Obama administration to undo the considerable progress in reducing crime America has made since Rudy Giuliani became mayor of New York and modeled a new paradigm of law enforcement.

News story history:
Mass shooting of 6 black people happened last week, but no whites, no terrorists no story?
Opinion

Why is that when black people are killed, either the story is ignored, or at best, it gets only second or third-tier coverage?
The news last week coming out of Wilkinsburg, Pa. (Allegheny County adjacent to Pittsburgh) is heartbreaking and shocking to the conscience. A team of two gunmen gunned down and killed five people, including a pregnant woman, and seriously wounded two others at a backyard cookout. The death of the fetus was ruled as a homicide, which raised the death toll to six. One of the victims was shot 50 times, and one of the attackers even used an AK-47 rifle to shoot his victims in the head. By all accounts, this was a military-style operation.

She was characterising the criminal black subculture.
As a cultureist describing and defining the black subculture, she is not racist and has a lawsuit against the actual racists running the station
I sincerely hope you win, Wendy!
No one bothered to warn her that TRUTH is the new HATE SPEECH.
I’m very familiar w/the Wilkinsburg area, and where the shooting happened was with walking distance of the WTAE studios. I’m talking a few blocks. The shooting was really some sort of planned execution. A fenced backyard, w/two shooters outside the fence corralling the victims into one entry towards the house and firing away. The shooting and story were horrific. There were small children in the house as well. The tv station must have been on some sort of lock down during the aftermath, as police descended on the area.
Good for Ms. Bell. Free speech isn’t so free anymore.
She isn’t though.
