Geomorphology provides multiple evidences for the global flood
by Michael J. Oard
Geomorphology is a subfield of geology which specializes in studying and explaining the shape of the earths surfaceits mountain ranges, plateaus, and plains. It includes study of small-scale features such as hills, valleys, slopes, and canyons. The individual features of the landscape within the field of geomorphology are called landforms. Geomorphology is a gold mine of evidence for the Genesis Flood.

Monterey-Canyon
Figure 1. Monterey Canyon extends from Monterey Bay, California into the Pacific Ocean for some 153 km (95 miles). At its deepest it is 3,600 m (11,800 ft) below sea level although the canyon itself is only about 1.6 km (1 mile) deep.

Much archaeology can be done, when the technology to do it is cheap enough, on the continental shelves. Most of the humans of the ice age and for centuries after were on those shelves. The water level rose relatively rapidly when the ice melted and very rapidly for a shorter time as Lake Agassiz broke its bounds and flooded out of North America, with a hiatus in which there was a subsidence and then a return and continuing rising of the water level which is much slower but ongoing.

Hmmm, all this time I thought it was well understood that, for just two examples, the Alps were created by 2 tectonic plates smashing into each other (African and Eurasian plates), and the Himalyas as the collision between The Indo Australian plate and the aforementioned Eurasian plate.
Is it your contention, fishtank, that these 2 mountain ranges were not formed by plate tectonics?
I am a geomorphologist. This article is the most misleading collection of nonsense that I’ve seen in years. Thankfully, my Christian faith does not require conjuring up this magical mystery gobbledegook to explain the evidence of God’s great work on this Earth.
