On Thursday night, I stood on the stage at Gilleys Southside Ballroom in Dallas, pleased to address a crowd gathered for a Donald Trump rally.
Just over three months ago, I stood on the same stage, pleased to address a crowd gathered for a Ted Cruz rally.
Such has been the journey.
The nominating conventions are next month. Only an indictment can derail Hillary Clinton, and only a coup of epic proportion can thwart Trump. Either one is possible, one supposes, but the likeliest path by far leads to those two squaring off to become the 45th President of the United States.
It is a time for choosing.
No more fence-sitting. No more #NeverTrumpOrHillary, no more conservative hand-wringing over their latest self-imposed obstacles to backing our nominee. The battle is over, Trump has won. There are now two kinds of conservatives: those who can handle that, and those who cannot.
For those who cannot, serious introspection is in order. Failure to back the Republican nominee will lead to a Hillary Clinton presidency, which should be unacceptable to any conservative.
No more convoluted pseudo-analysis over how a Trump presidency somehow damages conservatism or damages the party. This is about the country.
The country must not be savaged by a third Obama term. Whatever baggage clouds the mind of hemming and hawing conservatives, it is time to get over it.
Got concerns over portions of the Trump agenda that might not be conservative? I do, too. Lets be vocal in our wish for a crack inner circle of sharp minds to guide President Trump toward his best results....

The relentless blitz by the alphabets and CNN on Trump sucks!!
It’s almost like in the USA, the media is a propaganda tool for the hard left. Should rename themselves Tass.
You can either vote Trump and save America or you can stay home and condemn our beautiful contry to eight years of a cultural/societal transformation into hell...
Don’t you mean to eight MORE years?
Personally, I doubt the country’s ability to survive even four more years of liberal administration.
The economy is tanking.
Islamic terror attacks on our own soil are increasing.
The middle east has reached an unprecedented level of instability; even countries that used to be fairly safe tourist destinations (like Egypt) are not safe to visit.
Giving Iran the technology to create a nuclear bomb, especially when the efforts of the previous Democrat president to give North Korea a nuclear bomb are bearing fruit, is pure insanity.
Our freedoms are being abrogated by politicians whose motive for getting elected was always about power.
And so on.
I think that Venezuela level societal instability will be the result sooner, rather than later, if we sit back and allow another Socialist to be elected. Chavez was elected in 1999—it took less than 16 years for Venezuela to go from prosperity to hell hole. We’re close to that point already, thanks to Obama.
The Trump signs in western PA out number the hildabutchbitch signs by 2-300 to one.
I know that is not definitive proof that Trump will win, but it is a good signal.
Romney got a million more votes and won 2 more states than McCain.
Obama got 4.5 million less votes against Romney than against Mccain.
What 4 million Repubs ?
Fixed.
What would those be? Name them
Common sense says back Trump 100% or hold Hillary’s hem for her - too bad so many have trouble with the concept and are still flailing about trying to make excuses for helping Hillary while claiming to be on our side.
“There are too many, even here, who are happy not to vote if the candidate is not perfect”.............
There never has been a “perfect” candidate and this pending election certainly is showing that. Not voting for one candidate is a vote for his/her opponent. ALL, repeat ALL conservatives who have seen what odumbo has done to this country, and what Hitlary proposes to continue doing, leaves but ONE CHOICE, Donald Trump. Certainly Trump is a NOT the perfect candidate but he damn well is a lot better than Hitlary Clinton.
Sanctimonious, self righteous conservative self esteem is still at stake. Self esteem is valued by many more than America.
My way or the highway.......
minor correction...... we were once a nation of laws.
The president fails to grasp the simple truth
When there is no law, there is no law
Buddies like Glenn Beck?
I listen to him on my over to the studio in the morning. He was so bad yesterday that turned the dial to NPR.
From the very beginning I concluded that our Founding Father would not consider Cruz to be a natural born citizen and that Cruz knows this, too, but chose to run anyway. That’s a deep deep character flaw.
There I named one. To me the biggest.
The reality is that a Clinton Presidency will not only kill conservatism, but this country as well. If these people honestly believe that this country can survive a Hillary presidency, they are sadly deluded. She would indeed provide the proverbial final nail in the coffin of this country.
TPP and Corker...Corker being the worst of the worst.
To be honest, I was just repeating the info I heard without really looking into it.
Your post made me do a little research and I now know that it was debunked.
I’m actually relieved to learn that and somewhat more hopeful now about the election in November.
I stand by what I said about this election though. The Supreme Court is the big prize.
