You can tell that we failed by comparing our society 40 years ago to today. It’s called “moral decay” and it’s caused by the pursuit of “civil rights” and “social justice”.

This is not the Norman Rockwell world that I lived in back in the 50’s and early 60’s. There is no comparison since we have become an urban jungle, complete with wild animals and dangerous traps for our freedoms and liberties.

I have a favorite saying “how can you tell someone what fried skunk tastes like if you have never eaten it yourself?” The generation today has no idea as to what freedom, liberty, individual responsibility, and self-motivation and advancement even begins to look like.
