Oh, the irony. He could have outlived all of his victim's family.. or.. stuff happens.

The 8th amendment guarantees a right against cruel and unusual punishment.

So it would have been better to have him appear immediately before a firing squad or be subjected to lethal injection.

Oh, I forgot, the constitution is a joke now.

So what was the ROI thanks to this incidental death?

When was the bum scheduled to die? Did they save lots of money as a result?

With a last name like Rubio, he may have been genetically predisposed to dehydration.

In CA, if you’re on death row, you’re more likely to die of natural causes than the average Joe out in the community.

My only regret is that he had but one life to give prematurely on death row in California, while 746 remain to mock justice, the People, and the victims.

Oh, well. He got 17 years of free room, board, clothing, and medical care.

And now 16 years later here he is dead.

Apparently Justice got tired of waiting for the humans to do their job.

What, isn’t the reporter and his editor going to tell us what Rubio’s last meal was?

Rubio was sentenced to die on Sept. 20, 2000 for the 1998 murder

The Department of Corrections site says he arrived at San Quentin on July 1, 1988. If it was 1998, there is no way he would have a D number. It would probably be E or F by then.
