What, exactly, is an “assault weapon? Nowhere does any legal definition of such a device exist. Is it a “scary looking gun”? Admittedly, the commonly identified “assault weapon” does resemble military issue, and in some instances, some elements of its mechanical structure are nearly identical. But there are characteristics common to ALL weapons which fire a projectile at great force, propelled by the very rapidly burning charge in a cartridge with a cap which detonates upon being struck by a pin or hammer, actuated by the pulling of a trigger.

Regardless of its external appearance, the basic design of all projectile weapons which fire a cartridge pre-loaded with some form of gunpowder, and with a detonation cap at rim-fire or center fire, all follow pretty much the same architecture. Most of the variations are for given degrees of accuracy at close or far range, or ease of handling, or for purposes of reloading the cartridges into the firing chamber.

Andrew Breitbart drops dead walking down the sidewalk and morbidly obese Michael Moore is still around bleating and bleating and bleating. Where is the justice?

“Regardless of its external appearance,”

I had a friend who put a fiberglass Porsche body on a VW Beetle frame. Looked just like James Dean’s car! Was it a Porsche? Nope!

Lawmakers who attempt to enact gun control laws should be executed for treason.

If we are going to ban tools that are abused resulting in human deaths here are a couple of candidates:

The automobile will have to go.

Every year about 33,000 people die in automobile related incidents.

And what about the evil scalpel used in abortions resulting in about 700,000 baby killings per year?

We must have more and better scalpel control laws!

Since the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate civilian-related firearms, those lawmakers supporting a ban on assault weapons need to do the following.

They need to successfully propose a gun-control amendment to the Constitution to the states to give the feds the specific power to make civilian-related gun control laws, the corrupt feds predictably eventually using such an amendment as an excuse to take away all guns.

In fact, a previous generation of state sovereignty-respecting justices had clarified in broad language that powers that the states haven’t delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate civilian-related guns in this case, are prohibited to the feds.

”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

It is disturbing that federal civilian-related gun laws don’t seem to have appeared in the books until the time of the FDR Administration, FDR and the Congress at the time infamous for making laws that it could not justify under its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers.

Franklin Roosevelt: The Father of Gun Control

Remember in November !

Patriots need to support Trump by also electing a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trump’s vision to make America great again for everybody, including repealing all federal laws that Congress cannot justify under its Section 8-limited powers.

Note that such a Congress will probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
