The Blaze founder Glenn Beck wrote on his Facebook page the following impassioned message of comfort to members of the gay community after the massacre in Orlando.
We are not gay or straight, not black, white or brown, Christian or atheist.
We are all human. Hatred, bigotry, murder is a HUMAN disease.
It is experienced by the wealthiest 1% and the poorest 1%. In the all white neighborhood and the black or immigrant neighborhood. East and west, farm or city, north and south, left and right.
We must find our way to one another.
I will fight for HUMAN RIGHTS, because I do not have anymore rights than you and you must have all of mine and I, yours. Why narrow rights down?
“Equal rights!” should be our rallying cry!

Hoping I don’t get banned from FR, but any one of us could have a child who determines that they are LGBT. And I don’t think that any one of us think that it’s OK for any LGBT person to be murdered simply because they are LGBT.
Because if you think it is ok to be murdered because you are LGBT (or qrstuvwxyz) then you should start practicing sharia law right now.
So, regardless of what GB has said in the past, this should be applauded.

I for one, would cheer a Gay Pride Parade in Riyadh, or Mecca or Tehran. Anything that chaps Muzzie’s hides is fine by me.

Pretending that you can do this, is one with the Garden folly of knowing good and evil. You set up good approximations, that if they err, err towards mercy. Then you look to the church to set the general moral tone.

I think Beck’s “equality” cry in this case takes away from the real issue at hand which is the growing numbers of the followers of Mohammed in America. In what way were those inside the bar less equal than you or I?
Why raise equality issues now unless to distract from the immigration control issue.

My point is that we should not give in to the media skewing this into a gay persecution story rather than an islamic terrorist attack. This guy could have chosen a school, or theme park just as easily.
Americans were murdered by a terrorist, that is the most important thing.
