Omar being gay would explain some things

A former classmate of Omar Mateen’s 2006 police academy class said he believed Mateen was gay, saying Mateen once asked him out.
Officials say Mateen shot and killed 49 people and injured 53 others at an Orlando nightclub early Sunday morning.
The classmate said that he, Mateen and other classmates would hang out, sometimes going to gay nightclubs, after classes at the Indian River Community College police academy. He said Mateen asked him out romantically.

Some folks have darkly insinuated that we’re going to have a national disaster a la Sodom & Gomorrah.
That’s not a fair comparison, because they had become so wicked that even Abraham’s bargain (10 righteous men = salvation) was not met. This is far, far from the case in America.

They have different notions of what counts as such in Islam than in Christianity.

Well, of the butcher of Orlando was gay, may explain why he had trouble with wife 1, which most of us regular folks wouldn’t’ve had in the same situation.
Let’s not forget that most mass murderers are self-hating homosexuals. Gacy, Dahlmer, Pee-Wee Gaskins, Wayne Williams, the Russian that killed over 300 people, now Omar the goat-humper.
Better vetting of visitors will have to take place, at least from countries that are known to be heavily Islamic. I doubt they could come up with a foolproof screen, because as one imam commented, they could always say they’re Christian.
Wasn’t paying a lot of attention to that, but it would be interesting to see documentation as to which were, and which weren’t.

Having spent some 18 years in the Middle East oil and gas business; I can assure you that there is a small but significant homosexual component in the extremely repressed Arab culture, among both genders. This should hardly be a surprise to anybody.
