The man police say killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando early Sunday morning had visited the club at least a dozen times before carrying out his attack, a witness told the Orlando Sentinel on Monday.
The suspected shooter, 29-year-old Omar Mateen, may have also used several different gay dating apps, according to reports from MSNBC and the Los Angeles Times....
An Orlando man told MSNBC's Chris Hayes on Monday that he had seen photos of Mateen on the gay dating apps Grindr, Adam4Adam, and Jack'd over the last several years. At least two of the man's friends had been contacted by Mateen on the apps....

I don't want anybody else
When I think about you, I touch myself
Ooh, I don't want anybody else
Oh no, oh no, oh no
Does anyone know why the writer/Business Insider keeps referring to Omer Matem as the “suspected shooter” instead of “the shooter” or “dead shooter”?
I know about the legal use of the word “suspected”, “reported”, “alleged” etc. but they had not been adjudicated as the actual person who did something (usually a crime).
With selfies and phone calls etc from Matem literally bragging about what he was doing, does there have to be a legal ruling that he was the shooter, whether he is dead or alive?
The fact that the police killed him in a gun battle is a good hint that he was the only shooter ( plus gunpowder residue on his hands and clothes; weapons in his possession or next to him while other dead had none; weapons used registered to him; fingerprints on weapons and bullets; multiple eye-witness accounts; maybe even videos/photos of him in action, etc).
Just asking because I’ve see the word “suspected” used even when the perp is captured alive with weapons in their hands at the scene of a crime. Suspect it is an old legal protection term, now outdated.
I don’t believe it. I need more than hearsay. I think it’s disinfo because Trumps response was devastating. Throw a little smoke, spin a few mirrors and toss some flash powder and viola — no longer about radical islamic terror. It’s about a repressed homosexual driven by America’s intolerance to LGBT people spurned out by it’s fanaticism about guns, which tipped him over the edge.
Solution? We must be more tolerant of gays and ban firearms. ://
Methinks that given the info he was trying to redeem himself.
He scouted his target. This is no surprise, eh?
I didn’t even see the building in the background.....
That was my guess.
I look at it the opposite way. If he’s homo it takes the homo killing aspect out and he’s a radical Islamic terrorist killing Americans, period.
Chris Hays looks like the female version of Rachel Maddow
How do we know he wasn’t simply casing his targets?
Perhaps even luring some in, hoping maybe they could be his individual targets for abuse.
Alright. So will one of his gay lovers pick up the courtesy phone.
one hour and 48 minutes from fort pierce to orlando...
who cares. He committed evil terror for Allah, for “Iss-lamb,” as they pronounce it.
ABSOLUTELY. this feeds their narrative tremendously that it was guns and good old American hatred of gays that caused this
I have asked why he chose that club. This makes sense.
It’ll take a bit more before I’ll believe it. A whole lot of trolls on 4Chan keep live accounts on a variety of sites ready to change the moment that a big story breaks.
lol...
As I said, how do we know he wasn’t just contemptuously casing his targets?
Ever hear of “know thine enemy”?
Even the 9/11 guys got involved in some immoral stuff before going off on the biggest ambush ever.
