Was Orlando Shooter Really Acting for ISIS? For ISIS, It’s All the Same
NY Times ^ | June 12, 2016 | RUKMINI CALLIMACHI

Influencing distant attackers to pledge allegiance to the Islamic State and then carry out mass murder has become a core part of the group’s propaganda over the past two years. It is a purposeful blurring of the line between operations that are planned and carried out by the terror group’s core fighters and those carried out by its sympathizers.

This public oath is about the only requirement that the Islamic State imposes on followers who wish to carry out acts of terror in its name. In an annual speech, the terror group’s spokesman, Abu Muhammad al-Adnani, last month incited its supporters to carry out killings abroad during the holy month of Ramadan.

Read the article. They’re admitting that anyone who pledges allegiance to ISIS and kills “infidels” overseas becomes a recognized “soldier” by ISIS

Their modus is to inspire these wackjobs and give them the knowledge to kill lots of people

This idiotic game has to stop. That it is only terrorism if the guy gets a shortwave radio message from Tora Bora saying “launch mission today”.

But I thought ISIS has no relation to Islam say all the press and politicians and professors, Islamic scholars and experts all.

The Fuehrer of ISIS, al-Baghdadi, has a Ph.D. in Islamic scholarship and an expert on interpretation of the so-called 'Holy Koran'.

The mass psychosis of political correctness that has the entire West quaking in fear and paralyzed as to what to do, if anything, is truly something to behold.
In real time as we live and breathe.

No, he didn’t get direct orders from ISIL, he was inspired by their propaganda...

I don’t see a dimes worth of difference between the two...

Ra-ma-dan. ISIS calls for attacks on America. A life long muslim attacks after calling 911 and pledging allegiance to ISIS. New York Times still clueless.

Indeed. People with an agenda to shield Islam from this latest attack are falling all over themselves insisting that the murderer only pretends to a member of ISIS --- and I don't know what their true intent is with that: To make the terrorist act less horrific somehow? To make Americans feel less threatened by it? To put less blame on the 'real' ISIS rather than the 'wannabe' ISIS killer so as to somehow make Islam less guilty? Its absurd.

For a long time I've been correcting apologists for Islamic terror in internet forums where they take this rationale. I believe that any muslim who says they're committing a terrorist act on behalf of radical Islam is genuine. After all, ISIS themselves seem to be quite fine with it, so why should we pause because some Bernie/Hillary voter with internet access is worried that the latest terror attack will make Islam look bad?

Whenever you see someone take this tack whenever a terror attack takes place, as in the Boston bombing, San Bernardino, Ft. Hood, or Orlando, ask them to state what satisfies them as to what qualifies as a real ISIS member. Do they have to be photographed standing next to a muddy Toyota with mail-order army gear? Does merely crossing the border into Syria qualify? Ask them what suddenly makes them the expert on whether someone's truly an ISIS terrorist or not.

I was listening to the top of the hour news on the radio. The FBI was quoted as wanting to find out what the motives of the killer were. The very next sentence, the news reader mentioned that the killer had stopped during his carnage and called in to 911 to pledge allegiance to ISIS.

You would think that the wise people in the FBI could connect the dots. Also:

1. He was investigated two or three times in connection with terrorists.

2. He visited Saudi Arabia.

3. He was Muslim.

4. His father was a Taliban operative.

5. He screamed out the Allah is greatest mantra during his slaughter.

6. He wore a bomb vest.

That is the profile of whom?

Your post is what one of my favorite English teachers called Thought Provokers.

Now that Muslims are thoroughly dispersed throughout the West in sufficient numbers to constitute a physical threat to all but high government officials with armed security details, the press is more invested than ever before in propagating the delusions of Islam="peace".

I will concede that Islam is a religion of peace in the sense of the peaceful scene confronting those who had to disentangle the pile of corpses freshly exterminated in the Third Reich's gas chambers, then get busy and dispose of the waste product, at gunpoint.

Islam and Leftism is about creating conditions incompatible with human survival except under subjugation/slavery, but the common denominator is peace is defined as cessation of opposition.
Thanks for posting a Thought Provoker!

I respectfully beg to differ with you in that the New York Times is clueless.
The NYT is still peddling the horseshit that ISIS and terrorism have nothing to do with Islam.
Just as they wrote way back in 1932 in a small blurb that communism had nothing to do with the tens of millions of deaths by famine in the Ukraine in the 1930s.
The slimes has been lying since its inception and they're very good at what they do.

Well, he said he was doing it for ISIS. ISIS issued a statement claiming he was one of theirs... I guess he didn't get his ISIS goats club card notarized but it sure sounds like he was ISIS.

Note, not all ISIS fighters have to go to Iraq or Syria and spend months training in a camp watched by IR satellites... This isn't the movies. Fighters can be radicalized/recruited, trained and utilized anywhere.
