Why Omar Mateen’s obvious danger signs were missed and he was allowed to purchase weapons
American Thinker ^ | June 13, 2016 | Clarice Feldman

We know Orlando jihad terrorist Omar Mateen worked for a DHS contractor – the people supposed to guard our airports, federal buildings, and nuclear facilities. We know that in 2013 and 2014, his co-workers reported to his employer that he was acting weird, and he was reported to the FBI and watched for a while. Why wasn't he fired?

Probably because the employer had a diversity requirement imposed by the DHS and because CAIR, et al. were sure to finance a lawsuit against them even if DHS didn't hold them to strict account for such a firing.

Of course the FBI agents, probably like the Ft. Hood shooters' military co-workers, had to fear reprisals if they acted on their suspicions and stripped away his gun privileges. But the media and the government will, I predict, be all too happy to blame the contractor for the government’s failures.

"In what some experts have termed a hostile “political warfare campaign” driven by an alliance between the administration, Islamic organizations and cooperating media figures, analysts and subject matter experts were blacklisted, and books and training materials were purged from official counter-terrorism training programs government-wide.

This “purge” has contributed to clues being missed by the FBI in major terrorism cases, including…bombing of the Boston Marathon."

Next anti-gun talking point: Even if Mateen was on the FBI Terrorist Watch List, it wouldn’t have prevented him from buying a gun because the evil Republicans blocked legislation that would have prohibited people on the no-fly and terrorist watch lists from buying guns.

Come back: That is because practically ANY LEO could put ANYONE on those lists for any reason. And there is no legal way to find out who is on the list or to have your name taken off the list if you are put on it. Gun owners’ fear is that an anti-gun administration will use it as to deny the rights to millions of conservatives simply because they don’t like them. If you don’t think it can happen, just look at how the IRS targeted conservative groups for political reasons.

The FBI has all their resources chasing after imaginary ‘white supremacists’. Not much left in the budget for Islamic terrorism. The FBI director should be immediately fired by President Trump after the usurper obama is evicted from the white house.

This creep's resume has so much in common with that of the Tsarnov brothers. It's inconceivable that he not only wasn't identified, but was able to work for a DHS private contractor.

My conspiracy theory. His parents had something going on with the US that allowed them to emigrate here and him to get a "pass" on his behaviors.

“Missed”? Willfully neglected/dismissed != missed.

Because they were told to hire more muzzies. That directive is responsible for the murders.

Yes. Identity politics creates protected groups. It requires hiring, and prevents firing.
After 9 / 11 I remember seeing an interview with the Boston airport screener who had allowed Mohammad Atta and some of the other hijackers to board the plane at Logan. I believe this was even before TSA took over.

He said everything about those guys suggested something wasn’t right. A group of Middle Eastern men traveling together, all with one way tickets and no luggage, all wearing slouchy clothes and worn-out shoes-—all these things suggested to him that they weren’t expecting to arrive anywhere, and no one would be awaiting any of them on their arrival.

But he didn’t pull them aside because that would have been “profiling.” He didn’t want to seem “racist.” This gentleman said he’d live with that the rest of his life.

Please see vid at pinged post.

Former DHS employee had background info on a chain of mosques, across US, that linked the San Bernadino and Ft Pierce mosques.....and DHS scrubbed all info.
