The Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist group's official media wing has released a statement claiming credit for the deadly shooting attack at an Orlando, Florida gay nightclub on behalf of the jihadist organization.
In a statement published in the last few minutes, the al-Amaq agency - which functions as ISIS's propaganda and media wing - claimed that "the attack that targeted a nightclub for homosexuals in Orlando, Florida and that left more than 100 dead and wounded was carried out by an Islamic State fighter."
50 people were murdered in the worst shooting spree in American history, and a further 53 were wounded, many of them seriously.
The attack was carried out by a Muslim American named by authorities as Omar Mateen, who swore allegiance to ISIS shortly before carrying out the attack.
ISIS has been encouraging its followers to carry out terrorist attacks throughout the Western world in "honor" of Ramadan, which began last week.
However, despite Mateen's reported pledge of allegiance to ISIS it is unclear at this point whether he acted alone or under orders from ISIS's central leadership. Previous gun rampages carried out on behalf of ISIS - including the 2015 San Bernardino attack - were committed by cells acting independently, with ISIS formally claiming responsibility shortly afterwards.
Even prior to the statement by ISIS's media wing, jihadists took to social media to celebrate and gloat over the attack.

The killer was a radical Muslim. He had ties to radical Islam. He had been investisged by the FBI. He pledged allegiance to ISIS. ISIS is now claiming credit for this massacre.
Do any of these facts matter to liberals? Obama and Hillary and the rest of the liberals just have no idea what may have caused him to carry out this massacre. They just can’t figure out what ideology or theology he subscribed to, or any idea of the source of the hate in his soul.
We will have to wait for retribution until sometime shortly after some formalities take place at 12:00 Noon on January 20th, 2017.

No, in fact liberals claim those statements aren't true. CNN doesn't even notice its own inconsistency, just now, interviewing Marco Rubio. Breathless Wolf Blitzer asks about concern there will anti-homosexual copycat events. Rubio says of course there is concern about that, but ISIS and others are able to radicalize people online, and have encouraged lone-wolf attacks. One can find instructions online for driving into crowds of people and other acts of extreme violence.
After trying to pass the meme that this attack was not motivated by Islamic extremism, Blitzer points out that this is Ramadan, and there are websites and other publications that advocate jihad violence during Ramadan is especially encouraged, and does that cause any particular concern.
Liberals are loopy. Irrational.
Meanwhile, out in LA, prudence would dictate cancellation of the homosexual flaunting parade.

Depends which group gets more sympathy from voters who are not Islamic or gay. They figure that right wing voters have no sympathy for either, and left wing voters have sympathy for both, so since Islam has got to commit murder, they figure killing gays is safer, that the right will pocket its outrage because it was only “those people” who got killed. Wrong.
