Mitch McConnell Won’t Rule Out Rescinding His Endorsement of Donald Trump (like it's needed!)

The Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, would not rule out the possibility of rescinding his endorsement of Donald J. Trump’s presidential bid down the road, and he described the candidate as lacking knowledge in a number of areas in an interview released on Friday.

The comments from Mr. McConnell, in an interview with the “Masters in Politics” podcast on Bloomberg Politics, came as Republicans down the ballot continue to face questions about Mr. Trump’s criticism of the Indiana-born federal judge overseeing a case against Trump University as “Mexican.” Mr. McConnell has been pointed in his criticism of those remarks.

It was the first time, though, that Mr. McConnell offered anything less than an ironclad response of sticking with Mr. Trump, despite the numerous controversies that the presumptive Republican nominee has instigated.

Asked if there was a line that Mr. Trump could cross that would prompt Mr. McConnell to rescind his endorsement, Mr. McConnell demurred.

Trump would be wise, post convention and nomination, to ID all of these quisling s'bag Rs and run against them just like he did in the primary.

If he goes down let him take this rotten Establishment with him.

The people have spoken yet once again the GOPe isn’t listening. Its all about them, not us. They have their little club and don’t want Trump in it.

The Democrats are the left wing and the Republicans are the “right” wing of the Globalist Uniparty. At least Trump has smoked them all out and forced them out in the open.

Every GOPe Republican who tepidly endorsed Trump and then rescinds their endorsement only adds to Trump’s drawing power. The fact that he’s not “one of them” is what draws people to him.

If they really wanted to push people away from him they’d endorse him with open arms, call him a member of the club, talk about how much they think they can work with him etc...

Let me again extend my appreciation to the good citizens of Ky for reelecting this piece of crap.

Hopefully the good citizens of Wisconsin have more sense then to renominate his buddy Ryno for election.

I guess politicians like Mitch never learned the truth about their profession. They have only one thing to sell - their word.

Over the last several decades the grassroots voter has repeatedly learn that the professional politician has nothing to sell - his words are just so much hot air.

That fact explains the Tea Party and Trump phenomena much more accurately that any political consultant can.

Mitch - your constant changing your support/non support of Trump has provided any opponent with endless, truthful, sound bits as to why you shouldn’t be reelected. Do you remember the wind vane add of years ago? If not you will see it and your name and acts will be featured this time!

Good Lord, the Republicans leadership is beyond despicable! I hope Donald Trump wins this election and he uses the DOJ and the FBI to investigate these people and if they find evidence of any wrongdoing whatsoever, that he will prosecute them to the limit — and do the same for the democrats as well. I loathe McConnell even more than Harry Reid, and I have no use whatsoever for that person! The whole rotten bunch of them need to be removed from office, their ill-gotten wealth confiscated, and then maybe some quality time in prison.
