Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson is still a relative unknown, but according to the latest polls, hes drawing double digits against Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
But while Johnson might be gaining fans because of his position on legalizing marijuanaits a key part of his campaigns platformhe swears that, should he actually win the White House, he would quit smoking pot (at least for his first term)....

one promise in this election cycle that has a good chance of being kept !
Sure, he’ll just sneak out on the patio like O’bummer does to have his cigarettes.
I am going to vote for Gary Johnson
Me neither so that just shows the importance of that statement
Apparently, some relatives went liberal and moved to NM.
I remember a conversation with one of them years ago. I understood them to be Obama supporters, if I read it correctly.
There goes Bill Maher’s endorsement.
Actually, Gary Johnson was a popular Republican Governor of New Mexico who was term limited out of office. He was fiscally very conservative, and was very very good at saying “No.” His actual record is very good.
As the Libertarian candidate, he was a far better candidate than either Romney or Obama last election, and we all would have been better served had we voted for him instead of Romney. Frankly, I think Gary Johnson would be a pretty good president.
I think the lesson to be taken from last terrible election is that when it appears that the lesser of the two evils of the two major party candidates seems impossible to discern, there is nothing inherently immoral or unpatriotic at that point in voting for a third party candidate who would be a good president. And that man was Gary Johnson.
However! I think we have a much better and far stronger candidate in Donald Trump, but Gary Johnson is infinitely preferable to Hillary Clinton, or any of the establishment GOP such as Jeb Bush or Ryan, etc.
Now we know where the Bernie votes will go
He’ll forget.
Heh.
I like him more than Hillary.
What an interesting VP pick he would make.
Trump really needs an interesting VP. It’s his last huge move in the face of the media assault coming his way.
I am betting strongly that he is right about that statement.

Well, I don’t think President Trump would let him, if he did visit, and I kind of doubt that Hillary would invite him, so likely the opportunity won’t arise.
