Civil Forfeiture on steroids in Oklahoma. State and local police will no doubt look to use ERAD to provide expedited funding of our evergrowing police state. Military outfitting is expensive, citizen. Never thought we'd see the day of such audacity...

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN OKLAHOMA, THE ONLY STATE WHERE NOT ONE COUNTY WENT FOR OBOZO AND HAS BEEN VIEWED AS A PRETTY RIGHTEOUS, HONEST BUNCH OF FOLKS??
DID ALL THE LIBERAL ASSHOLES FROM CALIFORNIA AND THE NW GO THERE?

Sorry for shouting but I’m really pissed!

So some sterioded jackass doesn’t like the way you look at him, he can now take your life savings.

It’s very simple. In Oklahoma, Respectfully refuse to answer ANY question, on constitutional grounds, even something as simple as ‘Where are you headed?”

I talked to an Ohio detective (ex patrol cop) recently who is 53 years old and can retire now. If he stays in this special retention program for 8 years he can retire with a pension between 400k to half a million dollars. This is just one guy, unbelievable. Another Firefighter I know same scenario with a 40k to 50k pension. I’m getting the picture here, maybe they should start flying pirate flags.

How is this country any different from any other Banana Republic?

Fascist, commies, whatever.....they’re all TYRANTS.

Does anyone really believe they will willingly give power back to the people?

Theft is theft is theft.

Whether the guy happens to be wearing a uniform or not is beside the point.

We’d hang ‘em in the old West.

In all fairness, rampant credit card fraud skimming and ID theft crime has given law enforcement the need to examine criminal suspect’s cache of fraudulent credit cards in order to determine if there was just an ID / credit card theft.

The issue is police abuse of this technology and whether a warrant has been issued and if there’s been due process before “freezing”, ie seizing funds.

ERAD Prepaid Card Reader in 100 Seconds
DHS Science and Technology Directorate

Published on Apr 5, 2016The ERAD Prepaid Card Reader is a small, handheld device that uses wireless connectivity to allow law enforcement officers in the field to check the balance of cards. This allows for identification of suspicious prepaid cards and the ability to put a temporary hold on the linked funds until a full investigation can be completed. The project was developed by S&T’s First Responder Group.

This pisses me off.

And when folks like me get pissed off...we go to the ballot box.

Since the ballot box has not worked, we must now go to the other box.

Sad, but I can see little relief in this crap.

That f'ng bitch is gonna get elected...by fraud and cheating, but she's gonna be elected...mark my words.

Time to remember why we have the 2nd Amendment.

Wake up folks...the camel is in the tent!

I wonder how long the “blue pride” shared posts on FB go away?

I will not tolerate the constitution to be defiled by anyone or any group.

It is that silly oath thing.

If they get away with this, they will move on to bigger and better things. Within 20 years, the government will be able to log on and see at a glance all your assets, and pick and choose what they’re going to take. After all, the government hates the fact that you own something and that they don’t.

“as long as they suspect that your property is somehow tied to a crime. “

“suspect”
“somehow”
“tied to”
All weasel-words with no clear, defined meaning. They can be interpreted any way the thugs want.

Michigan just passed a law restricting the ability of the police to use civil forfeiture laws. It’s not perfect but it is a step in the right direction.

After watching the police stand down to rioters from Baltimore to Chicago to San Jose, and seeing this expansion of civil forfeiture, it is getting pretty obvious what side the police are on, and it is not the side of liberty.

Probably a good heads up to not go to the Indian casinos that are everywhere in OK. Can see them at the casino alerting the police that you have a bunch of money after a win at the casino .... a split later with the casino leech.
