Inside the bitter last days of Bernie's revolution
Politico ^ | 06/07/16 | By EDWARD-ISAAC DOVERE and GABRIEL DEBENEDETTI

There’s no strategist pulling the strings, and no collection of burn-it-all-down aides egging him on. At the heart of the rage against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party, the campaign aides closest to him say, is Bernie Sanders.

It was the Vermont senator who personally rewrote his campaign manager’s shorter statement after the chaos at the Nevada state party convention and blamed the political establishment for inciting the violence.

He was the one who made the choice to go after Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz after his wife read him a transcript of her blasting him on television.

He chose the knife fight over calling Clinton unqualified, which aides blame for pulling the bottom out of any hopes they had of winning in New York and their last real chance of turning a losing primary run around.

But, sigh, it looks like Hillary has won her party's nomination fair and square.

Well, I just checked the delegate count and she's almost 200 short as far as pledged delegates are concerned. She does have the 571 'superdelegates' though, but they are free to change their minds. Bernie would have to reel most of them in to have a chance. The idea that she won "fair and square" is only true if the party-awarded superdelegate system is fair. Without those superdelegates in play, this would be headed to a contested convention.

HillRy DID NOT win fair and square, her win has the AP fingerprints ALL over it!!! The MSM reporting Hillary had the nomination the day BEFORE the primaries suppressed Bernies voters!!! I live in Ventura county both Hillary and Bernie were here last week Bernie had 10,000, Hillary had 400 in a high school gym!!!! I am also not ruling out voter fraud it IS CA.

I would confirm the VOTER FRAUD part. I belong to an organization called “True The Vote” and they did report about CA based voter fraud issue(s) in the last few weeks.

>>It is really 1968 all over again.

I wish that was true. In 1968, most Americans of every race and ethnicity had been raised with a strong work ethic and common morality. Even the hippies were good people when you got past their passion over the war.

But today, we face feral humans who were not raised in the civilized sense of the word. They were merely spawned, given a high sense of self-importance and a lack of respect for every other person, and then were permitted to grow up and be set loose. They are more dinosaur than human. Even chimpanzees grow up with a better sense of society than these people.

If it is like the 60s, it’s not like the 60s here. It’s like Indonesia or Cambodia just before the governments fell and were replaced with the “social democrats” of the time.

Bernie blew it right from the first debate.

Word it applause broke out in the media room when he said this.

What happened to Bernie in California? I checked to recent polls last night and all of them had that race close, almost tied. So how is it Bernie got blown out last night like he did?

His main tactical mistake was not hitting her harder and he never should have conceded the e-mail issue early on like he did. Trump was right on that point right then and said Bernie had blown it on that important issue.

I say 1968 all over again because all these protests do remind me of that year, a year from my childhood during that period in time.

But yes, at least the differences can be said that at least, the folks from that year and time at least most of the time were able to move on.

This generation of protesters, simply do not know the word NO and what is RIGHT from what is WRONG.

Sadly, it may take a protester or two to be taken out via being shot to death to get the message that is it NOT about them.

Sen. Sanders should have from the start hit Hillary hard on all her corruption.

I understand what you’re saying. I was thinking of campus protests and you were thinking of Watts. I agree with you now.

I think Hillary had something on him - - there were a couple of times during debates when she gave him the, “YOU BETTER NOT GO THERE” look... And he would back off.

Calling Hillary Clinton unqualified is a “knife fight”?

All it takes is a cheese knife.
