SAN JOSE --Police Eddie Garcia acknowledged his department did not have enough officers to control the violence at Thursday night's Donald Trump rally in downtown.
There was a little more than 250 police officers, many in riot gear, in and around the convention center, including from neighboring cities such as Campbell, Palo Alto, Milpitas and Gilroy, and also the CHP.

Either he was a player in that he allowed the situation to set up for a riot, or he’s an incompetent idiot.
There’s no way in **** that the chief LEO didn’t know there was going to be riots by the usual suspects.

There were plenty. There are photos of them in riot gear standing around doing nothing but watching.
Haven’t Garcia and the Mayor already been shown to be affiliated with La Raza?
And there was a tweet/news report that Garcia told his LEOs not to arrest anyone, no altercations, basically to stand down,
if he did not have enough officers at the start, why did he not notify and charge the trump organization and hire more officers?
it seems like a city should be obligated to protect public safety during exercise of their constitutional rights to free speech and activities associated with voting for candidates for office. a halfway job is more dangerous than no job at all since it lulls the public into a false sense of safety.
i wonder if this admission makes the city of san jose liable for damages by attendees who suffered violence. it seems a tacit admission of neglect by a public official entrusted with enforcing laws for public safety and general welfare.
this guy eddie garcia failed his official police duties imho. perhaps he should resign. if he does not resign then perhaps the san jose mayor should fire him (and resign himself for being part of the problem imho).
The police are doing a masterful job of protecting that wall.

if a disruptor is paid for 8 hours, that is $80 per disruptor.
400 * $80 = $32000
basically, it costs hillary or someone like soros about $32000 to attack trump rally supporters physically with a 1% arrest rate.
maybe someone should notify the veteran bikers and give trump rally supporters a chance to attend trump rallies in relative safety...

The chief LEO is still held on a sometimes very short leash by the elected municipal leaders. If the mayor says stand down, then stand down it is.
And this municipal leader in San Jose had a VERY vested interest in trying to embarrass The Donald. Riots do not occur everywhere The Donald appears, only in venues where the local government is in the tank with the professional “protesters”.
What a classic reminder of San Jose, CA.

Ya know what is interesting in that video news conference, was there was not entourage behind him. No staff, no politicians, no mayor et al. Watch the mayor try to make the Chief the target and just watch him go down. Of course the mayor has a lot of explaining to do himself over his own comments.
