Dick Morris, an adversary of Bill and Hillary Clinton, has been hired by the National Enquirer as its chief political commentator and correspondent.
Enquirer Editor-in-Chief Dylan Howard called the addition proof of the Enquirers commitment to investigative journalism.
"He greatly values our commitment to delivering the kind of quality content that our readers have come to trust us for and, like The Enquirer, has the guts to publish stories other media won't touch, Howard said in a statement Friday.
Morris had previously written a weekly column for The Hill, but will no longer do so now that hes signed on with the Enquirer.
In light of Dick Morris' new position at the National Enquirer The Hill has decided to discontinue his column at The Hill. We wish him well, The Hill said in a statement.
Morris previously helped guide former President Clinton to his reelection in 1996, partly through the strategy of triangulation. Since then, Morris has emerged as a vocal critic of the Clintons and Hillary Clintons presidential bid.
He told The New York post that his first Enquirer column will assert that hackers infiltrated Hillary Clintons private email server that she used as the secretary of State. Both the agency and Clintons campaign have denied that the server was hacked.
Multiple news outlets have reported that GOP presumptive nominee Donald Trump has a close relationship with Enquirer's chief executive, David Pecker. The Washington Post detailed at length what it called the "cozy" relationship between the paper and the real estate magnate.
The Enquirer drew the ire of former Trump rival Ted Cruz twice during the primary: once with a story alleging Cruz had cheated on his wife, and another linking Cruz's father to John F. Kennedy's assassination.
That led to Cruz lambasting the paper as a front for Trump, calling the affair story "complete and utter lies" from "Donald Trump and his henchmen."
Trump denied any connection to the affair story but has praised the Enquirer.
The National Enquirer gave you John Edwards; it gave you O.J. Simpson; it gave you many, many things. I mean, you cant knock the National Enquirer. Its brought many things to light, not all of them pleasant.
I guess you mean Jimmy Hoffa? He was actually a union boss although there’s not much difference.
I disagree. No one knows Hillary and Bill better AND is willing to write about it. Morris may not be perfect but he is willing to publicly attack Hill and Bill for their corruption and lack of character.
Good match-up. They’re both right about 5% of the time.
it’s a bit of comedown in many diff ways . seems to me he wants a fast buck to stash away job earnings for eventual retirement so he can write “his BOOK” in peace .
LOL
Exactly what I was preparing to write.
Yeah, from sometimes accurate, to ALWAYS wrong!
Could there possibly be a better place for this phony?
Please do tell, how did I miss that one....
More exposure for someone that is anti-Hillary? I don’t have a problem with that.
From toe sucker to the NE...boy what strides Morris makes...
It would be even funnier if these two guys had a business associate named Mr. Johnson.
Stern respected? Really? Respected by who and for what?
If Stern's filthy drivel garners respect then our county landfill/dump must be a holy shrine.............
Lol
