Donald Trump supporter and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich isn't on board with Trump's attacks on a federal judge.
I dont know what Trumps reasoning was, and I dont care, Gingrich said in an email to the Washington Post. His description of the judge in terms of his parentage is completely unacceptable.
Trump has continually bashed U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is overseeing lawsuits over Trump's real estate education program Trump University. Trump claims that because Curiel is of Mexican descent, he is inherently biased against him and should recuse himself. Curiel was born in Indiana to immigrant parents.

The is the 2nd time Newt has done something like this. disappointed... It might be Huckabee at VP which would not be a bad move... Newt needs to be supportive publicly. He can email Trump his thoughts. Still hoping Newt works out... Newt, Huckabee, Guliani are good choices. I trust Trump knows who is best.
His caving in to the global warming baloney crowd and his photo-shoot with Nancy Pelosi on the couch really disgusted me.
Guess you can mark Newt off the VP shortlist, Sessions for VP
I dunno: it keeps the issue before the MSM.
I wonder if Gingrich is mad because Trump is offering VP to someone else. It’s just a thought I had. I keep leaning towards Sessions.
Trump should have talked about the judge and La Raza. Heritage is not the issue per se, it’s affiliation with a radical, racist, America-hating revanchist organization.
true, this episode suggests that Gingrich is not and will not be in Trump’s “inner circle”....
hopefully gingrich is now politcally gone for good.
Newt makes his offerings to the gods of political correctness. At least we know where he stands. You can never fully trust Newt.
>>Trump needs a generic dude with no baggage.
William Miller.
Sorry Newt, you lose.
The truth is always preferable to the lies.
Trump spoke the truth.
‘
Gingrich said of Obama in 2009, we’ve never had someone so eloquent as President of this country.
And Obama was speaking Mumbo-Jumbo - bumper sticker stuff. My green economy and all the health care savings will ignite the economy like we’ve never seen.
So, Trump has to denounce organizations he has nothing to do with, but the Judge doesn’t has to explain his La Raza membership? Huh?
.
Is it possible for a judge of Mexican background to judge fairly on the Trump University case, regardless of his personal feelings about Trump’s immigration policies? Sure. Is it possible for this judge to do so? Clearly not. It’s not that hard to understand, Newt.
The war on common sense continues, even from people who are supposedly on our side.
Trump rightfully piped up because this so-called judge is a member of La Raza.
Newt should be crossed off the list for vice president.
Newt will hopefully end up in a Trump White House. I’d love to see him as Chief of Staff or a similar position, but never favored him for the VP spot.
Newt’s up to his customary squishiness that got him in trouble when he was Speaker.
That’s my complaint about this episode. I think Trump stumbled by not clearly identifying LaRaza as the issue. Instead he mumbles about Mexican heritage. I give Trump huge credit for all his campaign successes, but a swing from the hip talker sometimes trips up, or misses opportunities. It’s happened before, and I’m sure he’ll overcome.
La Raza, also known as the Klan with a tan. BTW they get tens of millions from the Obama administration. In 2017 President Trump needs to cut these parasites off!!!
Whaaaaaaat? This guy was a member of La Raza!! Of COURSE he would be biased against someone who wants to build a wall in the middle of Aztlan!!!
I toldja, and I’m sick of telling ya (freepers, not you, Maggie), you can never trust a newt.
