Ted Cruz For Senate
The Federalist ^ | June 3rd, 2016 | By Sean Saffron

Posted on 06/04/2016 11:07:51 AM PDT by Mariner

Lost in all the back and forth of the Republican presidential primary is a profound question for the conservative movement: “Whither Ted Cruz?” Let us not overlook a conservative powerhouse, with a proven track record of organizing actual voters across a wide swath of states, expertise at small-dollar fundraising, and the discipline to endure months of heckling by Donald Troll and his oafish minions.

Is no one else excited to see the next chapter for Cruz? If he so chooses, Cruz can be the conservative leader he was so often attacked for not being over the last few years. Now that he is no longer required to hedge his every position, craft every utterance for maximum flexibility, and throw inconvenient political groups under the bus, Cruz can focus on actually legislating and moving the American political center rightward.

As I argued last year (in an unheeded essay urging he stay put in the Senate):

Lyin’ Ted & Heidi - Goldman-Sachs “NO BORDERS - North American Union”

Supported TPP

Supported Corker’s “Nukes for Iran”

Still has not produced a document that certifies he is a US citizen - a Canadian Birth Certificate does not prove being a US Citizen.

Surely Texas can find a real Conservative American citizen - not a Canadian Establishment GOP-E puppet.

So exactly where does he stand on TPP and TTP?

If he is still in the tank for Goldman Sachs he ought to be primaried

Does Ted Cruz even want to be a senator? Does Cruz want to endure in the Senate four years more, just to relaunch shortly, revving up for 2020?

Contrary to popular opinion, except for his constant, preachy prattle about how smart he sounded on the Constitution, I don’t see his actual record as an outstanding tribute to conservatives.

Cruz is a talker and a box checker, measuring what the rubes wanted to hear, but he never actually harmed the globalist agenda. TPP, CORKER, H1B1, pathway to “legalization” and disdain for a temporary ban of Muslims (he could not even bring himself to this common sense security measure because it was TRUMP’s idea).

No, Cruz is a player, self-serving and prematurely ambitious for the White House. Let him sit back, shut up, reassess who he is for awhile.

We don’t want his softness for a damn North American Union, or playing ball with those sell outs who do.

...he’s way better than Cornyn and Hutchison before him.

I used to believe that, too. It's why I voted for him in his Senate race. He disabused me of that idea during the primary.

Do we know if she is now an American citizen?

No one knows because Rafael's records are sealed like Obola's.

Nah, maybe we can replace him with a real conservative like Kelli Ayotte or Mark Kirk. Cruz, Lee, Paul

Cruz was elected to a six-year Senate term. If he wanted to run for POTUS, he should have immediately resigned and the Governor would have found someone just as capable to replace him.

I never contribute to politicians, but I think I will cut a check for a credible GOP primary opponent in the Cruz Senate primary.

I admire him for going for broke to become president

Ted followed the Obama playbook to the letter:

First term Senator? Check.
Harvard grad? Check.
Lawyer? Check.
No private sector job experience? Check.
Questionable eligibility, due to birth circumstance? Check.

Why on earth do you admire that?

Scripter, don’t listen to the dunces. They didn’t pay attention in high school government class.

She moved to Great Britian in the mid-60s and received British citizenship.

***************

Do you have a link to where she had actual England citizenship? I know she
and her husband went to England, got divorced and had a child that died
about 5 months after birth and was buried in England. She gave that
child the last name of Wilson which was her exhusband’s last name but he
denies it is his child. After coming back to the states she met Rafael Cruz
and wound up in Canada where Edward was born.

The Cruz family history is one mess to try to unravel.

Thanks, xzins. We have a lot of history and I appreciate that more than I can say, but I don’t care anymore.

You might be surprised.

You are correct. I’d be surprised since Texas hasn’t
elected a statewide democrat since 1994.

I’ve thought for a while that the Cruz campaign had teleported into a 70’s cartoon, just couldn’t decide between Snidely Whiplash or Scooby-Doo. We’ve had henchmen, sniveling cowards, meddling kids, and now oafish minions. Zoinks!
