Ignorance of the law is not, and never has been, any excuse for breaking it.

Ah, so secret laws and secret courts is a good thing?

I see how that works. I was driving 40mph in a 30mph zone earlier today but I wasn't speeding because I didn't get caught.

There is some sort of meme going around out there... it states “First time voters in this election were too young to remember 9/11”

I froze in my tracks.

I was around for Richard Nixon versus the MSM and the message was different along the lines of “Nixon broke the law” and “President Ford pardoned Nixon”.

I’m no Nixon fan but the media was on the warpath and Nixon returned in kind with the FCC geared up and going after NBC News for violating the Fairness Doctrine in a pensions documentary and shutting down the radio preacher Carl McIntire’s radio station after he advocated a military victory in Vietnam.

The media in this country today are bought and paid for stooges who deserve to work in North Korea or Cuba the way they treat elite politicians nowadays.

With apologies to Freddie Mercury and Queen:

I’ve been paid my speaking fees
Time after time
I’ve hid my emails
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
Yeah Bill’s made a few
I’ve had my share of Bimbos
Put in their place
But I’ve come through

And we mean to go on and on and on and on

We are the Clintons - my friends
And journalists keep on hiding
our crimes—Till the end
We are the Clintons
We are the Clintons
Surrounded by sycophants
Cause we are the Clintons
Of the Privileged World

No. I wish I did have that kind of talent.

I just found it while surfing the net and posted it here.

There are no “secret laws” or “secret courts” involved insofar as the examination of the behavior and actions of the Clinton Family Crime Syndicate is proceeding.

The law books are open and available for any to peruse, and for prosecutors to apply in open court.

Herself certainly had time enough to become acquainted with the letter and the spirit of the laws which the entire Clintonista machine has knowingly and blatantly flouted again and again.

Flout - To ignore or disregard (a rule or convention, for example) in an open or defiant way.

“violated the law, but committed no crime.”

That’s my defense next time I get caught for 55 in a 40.

You miss the salient point: if ignorance of the law is no excuse is completely valid and if taken to its logical conclusion then secret laws are the best, for this would allow the ruling powers to prosecute ignorant lawbreakers at will and allow for them to be modified (enacted, amended, etc) in secret.

I seem to vaguely recall that a European nobility did this (writing laws in another language that the commoners couldn't read them) -- I think it might have been the Normans using French as the law-language on the English, but I'm not 100% sure.
