ar Mexican soccer player Alan Pulido has been rescued after being kidnapped in the crime-ridden northern border state of Tamaulipas, Mexican authorities said Monday.

The rescue took place after midnight on Monday, according to press accounts quoting officials in Ciudad Victoria, the state capital, where the player had been abducted about 24 hours earlier.

Pulido was not believed to have suffered any major injury but was undergoing a medical evaluation. In a brief appearance before the press, he wore a multicolored tank top and had a bandage on his right hand.

“I’m well, thank God,” Pulido said in comments to the Mexican media.Officials offered no immediate explanation for the apparent injury to his hand.

Pulido — who plays professionally in Greece and was a member of Mexico’s 2014 World Cup squad in Brazil — was abducted while visiting Ciudad Victoria, the capital of Tamaulipas state and his birth place. Tampaulipas borders southern Texas and is home to an array of criminal gangs.

Mexico has become as violent as the south side of Chicago.

Just another example of how border security isn’t just about ‘keeping out migrants’ as the Left likes to create a false narrative over. Disrupting the free flow of criminal gang activity, organized crime, human trafficking, drug kingpins, etc. is also vital and cutting down on this behavior would improve the lives people on both sides of the border. In addition to being a domestic security issue, it is also a humanitarian issue - and that isn’t just a catch phrase...it is very true.

Good point. If it was just Maria picking lettuce or washing dishes that might be one thing, but when it’s Jesus kidnapping, gunning down people, and chopping off heads, that’s another.

Indeed.

Members of the US military are prohibited from visiting any place in Mexico that is within 50 miles of the border, due to the high crime.

Our politicians are perfectly aware of the crime issues caused by an open border. But instead of closing the border, they engage in ineffective “remedies” like putting up phone numbers in rest areas to call to report human trafficking.

Exactly! I saw this. He escaped because he fought. Very scary. Wonder what they were looking for (money, making a political statement, etc.).

I know so many folks personally who drive down there all of the time. They have not had any incidents that they've reported, but I constantly read about the horrible crimes and I've seen the border crossing corridors which are a travesty - an ecological disaster.

The crossing corridors were my first true "education" on how bad the issue is. South of Benson AZ we passed through some areas known for crossing. Valleys stretching into the distance North and South. Maybe 200-300 feet wide, and every inch covered with garbage as far as the eye could see in either direction. It was obvious that thousands of people had passed through the area and over a long period of time had dropped every piece of filth that they could carry along the trail. Horrible...

Later I looked it up. Here are some images that come close.

Trash dumped in Arizona by illegal aliens crossing the border.

So Mexico keeps all their criminals and allows only the good non criminal people to illegally enter the USA?

Kidnapping is a cottage industry in Old Mexico.
