Donald Trump said Thursday that he plans to outsource key aspects of his presidential campaign to the Republican National Committee.
Trump's shoestring operation was good enough to win a primary, succeeding on his ability overwhelm opponents by dominating the new cycle. But Trump Tower is woefully unprepared to take on Hillary Clinton, lacking any semblance of a sophisticated field or digital program.
The RNC has spent the last three years building, from scratch, a modern voter turnout that was always intended to serve as the foundation for the eventual 2016 nominee's campaign infrastructure. That includes 287 paid staff in 11 battleground states, plus another 179 set to joint them.
But the assumption was always that the presidential nominee would bring something the table in the way of field and data analytics, built during the primary contest, as is typical of Republican standard bearers. Trump isn't the typical candidate, and is instead handing off responsibility for voter turnout to the RNC.
The move is making some Republicans nervous. They fear the committee will be too consumed with Trump to focus on House, Senate and governors races.
"There are worries," said GOP strategist Kevin Madden, a veteran of Mitt Romney's 2012 campaign, "since Trump never really built much of an operation."
Given that, some Republican operatives are saying that Trump to delegate was the only choice available to him. "It's the only logical thing for him to do," a veteran GOP campaign strategist said.
Trump is expressing confidence in RNC Chairman Reince Priebus' ability to manage all the party's needs his and those down ticket.
"As far as building the infrastructure of the campaign, the RNC has been doing it for many years. Reince has really upped it and all over the country they have very good people," Trump told reporter...

That “Don’t sing the anthem” bit was just one small sample of sabotage that the leftist agents in the RNC will try. I believe they are outnumbered and surrounded though. Hopefully they will not be able to get away with attempts to destroy the campaign without being called out in the most humiliating way possible.
Trump’s momma didn’t raise no fool. He knows what he’s doing.

What would lead anyone to believe this? Priebus’s name is a synonym for failure.
They opened a Cruz office here and undercut us every way possible when we opened a Trump Office on our own!
Perhaps not enough of us have told him of their OBSTRUCTIONISM!
Make them an offer they can’t refuse!
My fingers are crossed that you are right.
I would like to think he has that kind of plans!
Big, huge mistake. They will hurt him more than help him. They will try push to Dem.
How do people get to tell about sabotage already seen?
I saw Ed Rollins on Lou Dobbs saying this was a mistake.
Agree. I imagine sour grape GOPers will be subtly attempting to sabotage Trump for some time. But, after tasting actual, successful power and control for good things, and receiving praise from constituents, my hope is many GOPers will convert.
I have to believe that many of those who were held in thrall to the GOPe will come true to their tea party roots and step up with Trump running things.
Being a true outsider, he had no reason to put the organization in place. His “outsourcing” is a smart move and will further unify the Party - expect Ryan to oppose it.
Not if they want the Party to endure - it will be modified from what they prefer but will be much stronger if they do a good job with this.
Plus, I am confident that trump will have his staff doing oversight and making good use of the system/infrastructure that they have in place - he had no reason to have such infrastructure/organization as a successful businessman and it's a good move that will help unify the Party.
He won't be leaving his fate up to the RINOs that put it in place.
His bombasticness was sure to bring him down, wrong.
His off the cuff remarks were sure to cause implosion, wrong.
His outspoken ion your face anti illegal immigration was sure to fail, wrong.
He opens his mouth and gives the msm more ammunition against them..played them like a grand piano.
He will never win the nomination, wrong.
Cruz will kick his ass in debates, wrong.
He is just a carnival barker....heh heh, that is going to be president by the grace of the people's support and votes.
Say, haven't seen the twister throw rug lately, lol
Trump is the right man for the times, exactly what we need at this time, and recognized as such by more and more people daily.
“The move is making some Republicans nervous. They fear the committee will be too consumed with Trump to focus on House, Senate and governors races.”
With the huge turnout of people voting for Trump the republicans will be voted in as a matter of course for downticket republicans, but even if they don’t, with Trump’s win we won’t need them anyway.
I agree. One guy was caught pulling some shady maneuvers, in FL I think, and Trump fired his ass.
I know one thing, he doesn’t like to pay for publicity. I bet to him paying for publicity is like paying for sex.
Spot on!!
