Donald Trump has reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the GOP presidential nomination, securing his status as the presumptive Republican nominee and avoiding a contested convention, according to a delegate count released Thursday by the Associated Press.

Well the nice thing now is the tables are turned, since rather than it being a question of Trump seeking their endorsement, it becomes a question of whether their endorsement of Trump is done in a way that will eventually earn Trump’s endorsement of them - or whether he’ll just leave them hanging and let all his supporters do as they will, which could mean primary defeats for some of them.
