I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day holiday weekend, and take some time to reflect on the choice we face in November.
We had a contest and, regardless of tactics, Cruz lost to Trump. I like Cruz. I think he’s a great voice and champion for the conservative cause, and for the Constitution. But he lost.
There is no way (absolutely NO way) I would support Hillary under any circumstances whatsoever, regardless of her opponent. She’s Obama without the charm. Obama without the scruples. When slick-Willie occupied the WH, and he had the angel on one-shoulder, she was the devil on the other. Many of the most under-handed, despicable acts conducted during Bill’s time in office were her doing - beginning to end. Her legacy goes back to (and before) being FIRED by her own Dem friends for misconduct in pursuing Nixon in the Watergate matter. She is a BAD person - unfit for the Presidency. Having barely survived the Obama reign, Pres. Hillary would do damage that would take a generation or 2 to unwind (USSC). It would be my grand-children’s generation that would have to fix things. And that might be too late.
Trump certainly is a loose cannon. But if he can accomplish 1/10th of what he proposes regarding immigration, trade, corporate and personal taxation, military & defense, stepped up protection against radical Islam, and criteria for selection of Supreme Court nominee’s, he’ll be more effective than any Republican since Reagan, and a good (if not great) President. Plus, I have no doubt that he will call out the entrenched establishment types that obstruct progress. I also think he doesn’t care about a second term so much that he’ll pull his punches. We’ve all seen his tone and tenor - he has no filter, and that could actually be a refreshing change - God knows we need real change.
What I really think he’s about is that he’s a (very) rich guy that played the game to get where he is. He contributed politically to whomever was in power to get (buy) influence. And it worked. That’s the way it works. But I also think he’s looking at the twilight of his life and realizing that’s not as it should be. He’s seeking some sort of redemption - for his children and children’s children, and for the USA.
When I tune in this Friday (for Ray Charles Friday - one of my favorite show themes) I’m hoping for a more pragmatic Mark Levin. One not fighting yesterday’s battles, but tomorrow’s war.

He speaks for quite a few of us actually. Not all feel comfortable speaking their minds here. I’d truly love an anonymous poll to be able to judge how many. I will vote for trump only bc I think there’s a 5% chance he will be better than Hillary.

I didn't say a damn thing about Trump supporters. I said that the idiots who trash Mark Levin are unhinged.

Worth repeating. Some public people don’t like it when someone else comes along and, seemingly overnight, generates an enormous audience, especially when their own guy Cruz was supposed to be the anointed one. So what are they doing? They denigrate and bash the Populist because it makes them feeeeel better. (Why else would public people — people whose livelihood depends on their adoring audience — show such poor judgment by bashing over half their listeners?)
How many years has Levin been trying to generate mass interest in his convention? It must suck to be in his shoes, watching 20k and 30k people screaming for a billionaire who wants to help us reclaim our Republic from the Elitists.
Speaking of Elitists, sometimes you can discern hidden Elitists when they project their own sense of self-entitlement onto the Populist in the room who’s getting the attention they feel THEY deserve. All you have to do is pay attention to what kind of accusations they throw, then their motivations become obvious.
Either that, or start digging into the financial advantages they may be receiving because of their public “anti-Elitist” stance. You know, like advance book deals and such.
Unhinged, is in the 'eye' of the beholder. There is 100% difference in Trump and Hillry and even Ted Cruz. Trump loves the United States, and our Constitution. I cannot say the same of either Hillry or Ted Cruz. Furthermore, I consider it 'unhinged' to join up with the latest 'anti-Free Republic' and 'anti-Trump' web site and come here and call any one 'unhinged'. Animal Farm, animals remarkably fits the Ted Cruz movement.

Regardless of the topic at hand you’re either a 12 year old gleefully typing insults from your smartphone or, you are Mark Levin, which is the same difference.
My daughter is 15 and speaks with more intelligence and class than you ever could. It doesn’t take a very high IQ to call people “dopes” or any of the other one syllable insults you use on a daily basis.
No one is trying to deny you your right to speak. You do that every day on your radio show. If they don’t bow to the “Great One,” they get insulted and hung up on because you can’t psychologically handle someone not agreeing with you.
I stopped listening to you a long time ago because of your rude and narcissistic behavior. In fact, I stopped listening to talk radio period because I’m capable of coming to my own conclusions without having to be told how to think.
It’s obvious your ratings are tanking and you aren’t handling it very well otherwise you wouldn’t have came on FR to spew more childish insults. You obviously don’t realize you are hurting your ratings even more with this stunt.

And thank you for putting Mark in his place. I believe you’re the reason he “ran away,” as well he should have.

That site has been around for several years. It's not "the latest anti-Free Republic" site. Lots of freepers have been members over there for a few years.
Certainly, there is a segment who are anti-FR. However, the vast majority just want to have discussion about the election without being taunted, trolled, and attacked for no good reason.
And, if you recall, JR asked freepers who can't jump on board the Trump Train to keep it to themselves and refrain from criticizing Trump or temporarily sit out from FR. That's what they're doing. Unhinged? No, unwelcome.
As for me, I am still a monthly donor, consider JR a friend, and continue to post here while taking care to follow JR's rules of keeping my criticism of Trump to myself while here. I post at the other site, a few others, and on Twitter and will continue to do so beyond this election.
That said, Mark Levin is a patriot and an asset to the conservative movement. He's fought at our sides for decades. People trashing him have become unhinged and, more importantly, taken their eyes off the goal.

LOL No, you really are not, because anyone who follows him lock-step or compliments him is treated well...Perhaps he would have treated me nicer had he known the amount of money I have spent on all of his and his father’s books...Harder to insult those who have studied his works...
You still agree with everything he says, seems obvious from your posting history. Good for you. However, I dare you to call in to his show and state that you support Trump and feel that Levin should stop attacking him...You will not be treated well.
