This would likely be an easier column to write if I were more familiar with the life and work of Beyonce, but even I know that shes a very popular singer with significant music sales and well attended concerts. In terms of the latter revenue stream, events of that magnitude always require security staff on hand to keep the rowdy fans under control and thats a thriving business in America. Whats less often discussed is the fact that off duty police officers frequently take such jobs and do their moonlighting work with the full blessing of their bosses. Its not only allowed, but in some cases encouraged
or even mandatory.
In the case of one upcoming Beyonce concert however, they may be short on cops because the local Pittsburgh police dont want to be involved with her event.

Gee whiz Jazz. You need to keep up with "pop culture" a little more. Of course the cops may end up doing it since "bey" and 'moochie' are bff's. LOL! Way to go there Pittsburgh LEO's. Seems like someone remembers the 'stupid bowl' half time 'entertainment' better than others.

Why do I get the feeling that the crowd at a Beyonce concert might need policing more than the crowd for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra?

Another of the myriad little fault lines that are beginning to open-up within the Democrat Party.
The Cops (a UNION) vs. Black Lives Matter race hustlers.
Oh, my, what to do? What to do?

Three cheers from this Pittsburgh area resident.

Reminds me of an old bumper sticker from the late 1960s:
Hate Cops?
Try calling the ACLU next time you need one.

Beyonce and Jay Z espouse open hatred for white people. Linked article says Jay Z is a "5 percent Nation of Islam".
The "DC Sniper" was a 5-percenters too.

Good on the Cops, let her and attendees do without. No need to go without security!
The Rolling Stones once used the Hells Angels.
NOI security, The Fruit Of Islam have offered!
What about her pals at BLM? ... That's the ticket!

Maybe Jay Z can provide some thugs to do security so Wanna Be White Girl can do her little lip synch show.

This concert is still not sold out. A concert of this type usually sells out in less then an hour. The tickets have been on sale for months.

I’m glad to see that this issue has staying power with the badges. I knew that they declined to support her trashiness a couple of months ago - I hope that she has to pay through her nose for security from here on out.

You obviously did not see the mass riot last year when the substitute lead tenor was flat in opening movement.
