Target stocks continue to fall and are at almost a $20 loss per share, but that isnt stopping the retail company from suing one of their own customers who saved another shopper from a stabbing attack.
Target stocks plunged $2.5 Billion in just 10 days once word got out about the company's pandering to less than half a percent of the population, which would open up bathrooms to those of the opposite gender. The stocks continue to fall and are at almost a $20 loss per share, but that isn't stopping the retail company from suing one of their own customers who saved another shopper from a stabbing attack.
Breitbart reported on a 2013 event in which Michael Turner grabbed a baseball bat and used it to chase of an attacker and save the life of a young woman who was being attacked in a Target store. Instead of offering praise or award for Mr. Turner, the store has chosen instead to sue him for endangering other customers in the store with the bat. No, this is not satire.
Target, however, is less grateful for Mr. Turner's heroics. And now the retailer is suing him for "endangering" the store's customers.
According to the company's filing, Target says Turner and several others chased the suspect toward the store's entrance after the attack on the girl. The store insists Turner put other shoppers at risk with his actions.
The victim of the stabbing and her family are furious with the retail chain and say Target is just trying to shift the blame away from its own security failures.
"Suing Michael Turner is just Target's way of trying to blame someone else for what happened under their own roof," the Meadows family attorney said. "The family certainly doesn't blame Mr. Turner and they are thankful he was there that day."
Can you say "stupid"? Who is calling the shots at Target? Is Target CEO Brian Cornell aware of this incident? If so, does he not have enough sense to put an end to such a ridiculous and frivolous lawsuit? There is no way a jury will side with Target against Mr. Turner.
Mr. Turner should be held as selfless hero who put his own life at risk to save another. I'm wondering now if Mr. Turner or the young lady will ever step foot again in another Target store.
To be sure, Target's competitors are probably having a field day over this as more and more business leaves the transgender supporting, criminal aiding retail company. I say, "Good riddance!"
lol
I honestly believe that some major players out there are intentionally trying to depress Target’s stock and value. To what end I don’t know. Shareholders should demand real answers and scalps at their next meeting. This looks like fraud.
Target is dead to me.
I like havin ya back around. :)
Any chance of you making the Texas FR shoot in early 10/2016?
Had those individuals who spotted Walls committing his deadly crimes been armed, most of us would be accepting their own use of deadly force to put an end to Walls' actions.
Well, this is consistent with Target’s new strategy of making sure their stores offer safe spaces for criminals and perverts.
Snopes is very left leaning
Take whatever they say with every bit the grain of salt you are giving the original story by doing a snopes check.
Hmmm.... Does Target have standing for a civil suit here?
How were they “damaged?” How are the damages quantified?
This should be laughed out of court by the judge, before it gets laughed out by a jury.
Where and when?
100 percent Target boycott.
More details from another source - still no doubt Turner saved the 16 y/o girl’s life.
In 2013, Leon Walls stabbed Michael Turner’s friend on a Pittsburgh street. Turner and three other men went looking for Walls shortly after the stabbing, planning to hold him for police. Turner heard that the man had gone inside a nearby Target, in East Liberty, so Turner and the men followed.
Once inside, they found Walls, who then grabbed 16-year-old Allison Meadows and began stabbing her with a knife. Turner and the men jumped into action and stopped the attack. Allison’s father, Glen Meadows, considers Turner a hero.
This has been posted twice and I’m going to repeat it: Snopes is Leftwing.
Target will be shown what a fool place it is should it get to a court hearing. What’s Target’s lawyers going to say? He endangered the other customers by saving the girl’s life? Really? Seriously? I’ll bet that judge will laugh it out of court.
My guess is that Target will decline even further. Most likely the board is filled with people that think like this CEO. Therefore the hemorrhage of money will continue... a clearly self inflicted wound. The board will have to be put in line by their stock holders, which very well have the same pandering and smug inclinations of thought. It could come to a tipping point where they cant recover.
I don’t see that the Snopes version materially changes anything.
Though I’m straight I’ve always had a very accurate gaydar. Mr. Cornell plays for the other team. End of discussion.
“”Snopes is very left leaning. Take whatever they say with every bit the grain of salt you are giving the original story by doing a snopes check.””
This idea is carried way too far to the extreme. If the story is political in nature, yeah, they can twist it, but not always - but this story doesn’t have a political angle so where is it left leaning? People still refuse to accept snopes when other verification sites report the same true/false verdict...
He does look like a catcher to me...
“”This has been posted twice and Im going to repeat it: Snopes is Leftwing.””
So what? I’ll repost my own thought...making it TWICE!
