(Newsmax) Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert told the Washington Examiner that he believes the FBI will not recommend an indictment for Hillary Clinton in the email probe case.
The Republican lawmaker said he believed the FBI would announce that they were just laying out the evidence, and leave it to the Justice Department to issue any indictment.
Director Comey is a pretty straight-up guy, and I dont think hell pull any punches, Gohmert said, referring to FBI Director James Comey. But I could also see him avoiding all the controversy by just saying, heres all the evidence, its not our job to indict.
Gohmert, a Texas state judge who spent ten years in the Armys Judge Advocate General Corps, said he believed evidence shows Clinton should be indicted.
However, he explained that he didnt believe she would be, unless she spoke negatively about the president.
If she were to turn around and start criticizing Obama herself, I could see her being indicted very quickly, Gohmert told the Examiner.
The FBI has been investigating Clinton for alleged mishandling of confidential emails during her time as secretary of state.
Gohmert mentioned that if Clinton doesnt win the presidency, he hopes the next president takes up her case.
Weve got to have a Republican president come in and say, this is a cesspool here in the executive branch, and we are going to clean it out, the Texas legislator said.
Gohmert has expressed before his belief that Clinton should be indicted: in January, Right Wing Watch reported that Gohmet told Breitbart News the Obama administration has evidence against Clinton, and if they want to use it, they can.
Gohmert supported Ted Cruz for president, but said on Fox Business that he would support Donald Trump if Trump apologized for his treatment of Cruz and Carly Fiorina.
It will be interesting to see what precedence has been set due to this scandal. Each time I hear about this, the number of violations increase, not decrease. She could be indicted on a number of different violations, so how would these be separated and what does it mean for all others who have been convicted for the same crimes.
Think of poor Scooter Libby who was sent to prison for nothing!
Oh, come on. Really. Anyone who can’t remember what they had for dinner on May 27, 2003 needs to be in jail. Heck, even I keep some notes. /s
This certainly tells us they are royalty.... the scum of the earth, treated as such.. while the rest of us are held accountable.
This is the kind of cowardice that gives license to such as the Clintons and Obamas to carry on their depredations. They know, with metaphysical certainty, if they’re bold enough in their corruption that those who should stop them will be cowed by the enormity of the task. And each click of the ratchet thast is never turned back takes us ever closer to Mugabe’s Zimbabwe or Maduro’s Venezuela

Louie, what are you doing? It was a primary fight. It’s over. You don’t ask your party nominee to apologize. It only weakens him. Set your sights on Hillary.
OK, Freeper Legal Eagles:
What is standard FBI policy?
Do they just issue a report and hand it to Justice?
Do they make recommendations?
Indict or don’t indict?
List of confirmed violations of the law?
What do they normally do?
It’s good to have dreams. It helps us strive to better things. But let’s be realistic, if clinton loses the general election and doesn’t throw any shade in the president’s general direction, he will likely issue a pardon as he leaves office.
Because trying someone for illegal, security destroying acts should always hinge on whether or not you support or insult someone in power.
If this ends up being the correct scenario, what possible grounds do citizens have for trust in government?

If Comey takes the route Gohmert suggests then he is NOT a “straight-up” guy.
Fear not, I’m sure the Bureau would treat any of us with the same consideration they’ll give Clinton. /s/
By the way, Gohmert is a moron.
This IS the correct scenario.
Where have you been?
Absolutely, 100 percent, dead on. Exactly what I was thinking.
Once again it’s obvious that the old fixaroo is in. Comey the neutral public servant, my foot!
“Laws for thee but not for me.”
However, he explained that he didnt believe she would be, unless she spoke negatively about the president.....In other words, we no longer have a nation of laws.
Kabuki theater agitprop to move pieces on the collectivist chessboard mind game.
The FBI most certainly recommends indictments.
Who knows WTF Gohmert is doing here.
