A post-Constitutional era?! This is what the GOPe wants you to believe! They are the ones that could have stopped Obama. It’s not that they couldn’t, it’s that they didn’t want to. They want you to think that Obama having the power he has is bad, but if they had it everything would be fine.
Please tell me this is not why you find Trump appealing; because he will come in and weild the same phone and pen as Obama but this time it will be more in line with what you believe?
He, and many others, considers it as a second home state, as Mar-a-Lago is there. Snowbird, “dual state citizenship.”
He means that Trump needs to reach out to GOP globalists and their money men.
Trump has been in high visability real estate here for decades. That he owns the old Post estate in Palm Beach is well known. That we have a very high population of NY transplants is well known. All of those combine to make FL a, we’ll call it second home state for Trump. Plus, obviously, Rubio is not well liked here.

Which happened after Chavez escaped prosecution in 1998, got into office, and kept extending his term limit by changing Venezuela’s Constitution. Constant states of emergency.
I wrote about this in Pursuing Liberty, with a first-person recollection of how the country fell into authoritarianism, extreme poverty, and runaway crime.
