Their plan is to run a candidate who could win three states and enough votes in the electoral college to deny both parties the needed majority.

Don’t blame Roberts on GW. NOONE including anyone on these boards forsaw what Roberts would become. In fact everyone was cheering the nomination. It’s always convienent to look in the rear view in the present.
No worries about the magazine. If DT becomes president he wants to loosen the laws to sue journalists, remember? He got people to fear saying anything negative about him back in the 80’s so he knows how to shut people up.

DT also had his volunteers sign non-disclosure agreements as do all his employees and his first ex. Let’s give him control of the FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, and the Dept of InJustice.

You wanna see CW II kicked off with a bang? Go ahead and have the failed RINO House of Representatives, with something like a 14% approval rating, discard both Trump and the Democrat and hand the Presidency to Bill Kristol’s RINO candidate who managed to win three states. It’ll be Fort Sumter and Lexington and Concord all rolled into one.
So wait a minute, you’re seriously going to call this blasting of Roberts by Cruz a ruse? And Roberts record so well concealed that even the folks on these boards never caught the Trojan horse? We jumped all over ourselves to praise the Roberts nomination. You serious?
I do NOT believe anything that comes out of Ted Cruz's mouth... anything!!!!! WE? The chaos set in motion over Harriet Miers, caused a 'sigh' of relief when Roberts name came forward... BUT Roberts was NOT an unknown quantity by the legal buzzards that pulled his name supposedly out of a hat. They knew what they were getting when they selected him... IF they did not they are NOT fit to hold public office.

Truth. It is almost comical to see Kristol and his ilk weep about the need for a "conservative" when they whored for Romney not four years ago.
None of these elites give a damn about abortion, or limited government, or personal freedoms. None of them. That's fodder for the masses so we think we're "fighting" for something noble.
I think once you make your first million there is a danger that someone can easily switch from being an American to being a “citizen of the world” snob. I call it the gated community syndrome. Unfortunately I haven’t reached global status yet.

The problem with the premise of Kristol is what will happen if no candidate gets the majority of electors. The Twelfth Amendment addresses this. Since the House of Representatives must select from the top three candidates receiving votes, and each state receiving one vote, it would seem to me that DJT would be elected. The Twelfth says, in part:
“The person having the greatest Number of votes for President, shall be the President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed; and if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. But in choosing the President, the votes shall be taken by states, the representation from each state having one vote; a quorum for this purpose shall consist of a member or members from two-thirds of the states, and a majority of all the states shall be necessary to a choice.”
I suppose the ability to read is the great equalizer with pointy heads like Kristol that don’t think through their efforts.

Kristol and the rest of the GOPE insiders can thank themselves that Mr. TRUMP is such an anti establishment phenomenon. Their limp wristed candidates and surrender policies in congress and the senate created him.
