This reminds me of frog licking. Somebody had to lick frogs to figure out they got a buzz from it. Who on earth would do that???
LOL! Maybe the same guy that first pried open an oyster and decided that might be good to eat.
Hippies in the ‘60s used to make milk shakes in blenders with blue morning glory seeds — and get sick and sometimes die from them. This is an old fad come around again.
Three kids killed themselves from snorting window cleaner in the car back in Delaware, it was like they made whatever substance they wanted into a drug, just so stupid.
Morning glory seeds are an old favorite for people who run out of pot and other dope. It’s analogous to the resort to Saran Wrap when the condoms are gone.
I thought I had heard of everything.
“The blue seeds are not specifically too good”
I learned shortly thereafter that you cannot get high from smoking dried banana peels.
Some things never change.

Whenever a pedestrian is killed by a car in the street cars must be pulled from all streets nationwide to avoid another meaningless death of an innocent person. Obama should order all cars off the streets of America permanently. I will save people and our precious environment.
I think most, if not all, of the “first adopters” of these fads are either dead or comatose, by now.
you can’t protect every mentally ill person from themselves, unless you completely turn the screws on society and turn it into a police state
Glad you survived the lesson. Youth is for doing dumb things and learning from it. God knows I did some dumb things.

Aaagghhh....don’t give bathroom Barry anymore ideas
Well..if you do...I’m in a load of trouble...have large amounts of MG in my yard (domesticated, not rampant one)
In the 1980s, “Chinese Morning Glory seeds” were not being bought to be grown, apparently — but the seeds have to be cleaned by blanching, in order to remove the various pesticides, fungicides and such that are applied to keep the seeds from going bad on the shelf.
Thompson and Morgan seeds (out of the UK) sell peyote cactus seeds, perhaps other stuff, but they aren’t legally obtainable (yet) in the US.
There are other, wild-growing options, but as all “vision quest” types of plants are poisonous if you get enough, I’m done posting about it. :’) In most parts of the lower 48, there are half a dozen plants in the vicinity (usually within feet or yards of the back door) which will either gitcha high, or kill ya, or both, depending on how they’re used. Just to be tricky, one of them looks exactly like a genus of harmless plants which has dozens of species growing wild. :’o
