Nine GOP committee chairmen lined up behind presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump Friday, just a day after the billionaire businessmen met with key party leaders on Capitol Hill.
In a statement released announcing the endorsement, the chairmen said that it was important for Republicans to unite around Trump since America cannot deal with another Democrat in the White House nor can Republicans to lose their hold on Congress.
Any other outcome is a danger to economic growth, puts our national security in peril, enshrines ObamaCare as the law of the land, entraps Americans in a cycle of poverty and dependence, and undermines our constitutional republic, the statement said.
...
Trump responded Friday to the latest endorsement by calling a strong House Republican majority imperative.
The representatives endorsing Trump are Steve Chabot of Ohio (small business), Michael Conaway of Texas (agriculture), Jeb Hensarling of Texas (financial services), Candice Miller of Michigan (house administration), Jeff Miller of Florida (veterans affairs), Tom Price of Georgia (budget), Pete Sessions of Texas (rules), Bill Shuster of Pennsylvania (transportation and infrastructure), and Lamar Smith of Texas (science, space and technology).

The funniest part is the woman on the other end of the ‘John Miller’ conversation thinks it was Trump himself who released the tape...says she didn’t do it.
I don't think it matters which way he goes. The press probably thinks that Darrell Hammond is really Trump.
Squeezing Paul Ryan like a zit.
______________________________
Precisely. He has cornered Ryan like Megyn Kelly.
Ryan looks like an idiot like Bush and Romney and the voters hate him more and more.
They needed time to go through the grieving process as the Truth overwhelmed their normally sordid convictions - they realize they have a better chance riding Trump's coattails than toeing the Party line.
I would also imagine that they are also hoping for him to be an epic failure so they can revert to the Party line down the road and call the science "settled"....some who 'endorse" him do so with clenched teeth and don't want to face the consequences if he's successful - once he is in the WH, they will be throwing up roadblocks even as they "endorse" him. It's what they are good at.
John Miller. John Galt. Look at the two first names - closely. What are the chances?
I have been saying this for years.
Spot on. Boehner for VP...that would send a message as to who is in charge.
Ryan’s coyness to endorse Trump really works to Trump’s advantage. When Ryan finally endorses him at last (and he will) it will be YUGE news and another WE WIN AGAIN moment for the Trump Train. Had Ryan already given Trump his full throated endorsement, the effect would not be as dramatic and explosive.
Hey paulie do you hear that?
“Squeezing Paul Ryan like a zit.”
That is a good way to put it. Ryan, Sasse and a few others are going to be on the outside looking in pretty soon.
That reminds me of the episode of MASH and the fruitless venture they spent in search of Cpt. Tuttle.
Didn’t see my congressman in that list, Brady.

Mr. REID. Mr. President, today the Republican Presidential nominee--it is hard for me to say these words--Donald Trump, comes to Capitol Hill. He secured the party's nomination. He did that last week. Donald Trump will meet privately today with Speaker Ryan and Republican Leader McConnell. ...At some point in the conversation, Donald Trump should thank the senior Senator from Kentucky. Trump owes his candidacy to the Republican leader and the policies he has led. It was the obstructionist, anti-woman, anti-Latino, anti-Muslim, anti-middle-class, anti-environment, anti-Obama, anti-everything Republican Party during the last 8 years that has made Donald Trump a reality.
I note that no one is on the floor. Will the Chair announce what the Senate is going to do this morning.
Looks like the globalist Limbaugh wing of the party is going to be riding in the back seat for along time. Forever hopefully.
You mean like drpimplepopper? : )
All good. Thanks for the heads up.
