Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, 41, said she needed more staff to help her out
'Overwhelmed' wife of Canadian prime minister cares for her three children
Rival politicians accused Justin Trudeau and his wife of being out of touch
Huge wildfire is tearing through Alberta, forcing 88,000 people to evacuate
Justin Trudeau's wife has come under fire for asking for more staff to help her with the 'overwhelming' job of being First Lady of Canada.
Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau, 41, said one aide was not enough to help her juggle her official duties and care for her three children.
Mrs Gregoire-Trudeau's plea for help came as a huge wildfire tore through Alberta, forcing 88,000 people to evacuate their homes - with many of their houses destroyed.
Rival politicians said she was out of touch with the Canadian public and pointed out that the previous First Lady got along fine with a single helper.
Trudeau's wife said she wanted to help as many charities and campaign groups as possible but was struggled to find the time to help everyone.
'I would like to be everywhere but I cannot,' she told Le Soleil.
'I have three children at home, and I have a husband who is prime minister. I need help. I need a team to help me to serve the public.'

Justin Trudeau's 'overwhelmed' wife slammed for saying she needs a team of staff to help her 'serve the public' and look after her three children - as 88,000 Canadians flee raging wildfires
She’s jealous of Michelle Obama’s huge staff, which goes unnoticed by our MSM.
Yeah, I think Michelle has a staff of 40.
And Michelle needs frequent vacations to recuperate from her hard work.
Since the Prime Minister in a Westminster system is head of gov’t not head of state the wife does not have to do anything. The “serve the public” role is served by the Governor-General in Canada. Is Mrs. Trudeau wants to act like a “First Lady” that is her choice but don’t complain about a lack of staff as “First Lady” is not part of the job description of the spouse of a PM.
I’ll bet carrying that fat ass of hers around is exhausting...
The glamour duo can just bring in some more islamo trash to take care of their first world needs. Idiots, all of these nimrods and voters.
How Marie Antoinette.
Our country would be better off if our First Lady (of whatever party) had just one staffer.
Enough with the imperial pomp and circumstance and public “cause” nagging.
Better to get the celebrity angle out of our politics as much as possible.
What the heck, she’s married to a girlyman.
Make Justina help.
She already has two full-time nannies that make about $75,000-$80,000.
Her staffing needs should be comparable to what Mila Mulroney or Laureen Harper had.
Well ..........just say no, the kiddies have soccer, piano and mandarin chinese lessons all this week. ....and that damn laundry ain’t gonna do itself. Being a “good” Mom is like herding cats in the dark while juggling hand grenades pretty much based on my observations of my wife when our kids were young.
Pretty sure they have maid, nanny, au pair ....etcetera but regardless of polidiot bend. Mom’n is tough duty unless they just pawn off the little trophies for someone else to raise / indoctrinate ...... just my opinion !
the wife does not have to do anything. .....Yes she does. “Make me a sammich, mes amis.”
If Sophie’s “overwhelmed” having kids, the beyotch should have kept her damned legs shut and not had them.
If she’s looking for sympathy, she won’t get it from me. My mom raised me, God bless her soul, all by herself.
I think she read the book HOW TO BE A SPOILED FIRST SLUT by Hil-liary and thunder thighs obamit.
The proper role for a wife is to comply with her husband’s requests for relations.
Well I said that.....
Actually, the Prime Minister’s wife does have a job. She basically runs Stornaway and makes sure the place is always ready to receive dignitaries. However, every other PM wife manage to do this with a small staff and that’s how it should stay.
Same kind of deal.
Mrs. PM asking for a staff is extremely unCanadian.
