Ted Cruz poised to challenge Trump in Texas
Politico ^ | Kyle Cheney

Ted Cruz isn’t giving up.

While Donald Trump dispatches three advisers to Texas’s convention in Dallas this week and makes a pitch for party unity, his team will be running up against a Cruz operation that is still maneuvering to stuff the state’s delegation with allies the senator could call on to snub the presumptive nominee.

“We have a busy weekend planned,” said a source familiar with the Cruz campaign’s plans.

Cruz is scheduled to deliver an address at the Texas convention after a week of hinting he could jump back into the presidential contest and urging activists to thwart the New Yorker’s takeover of the GOP’s policy platform. And despite dropping out of the race more than a week ago, the vanquished presidential contender has deployed at least one paid adviser to the Texas Republican convention – Tyler Norris, his state director. (Trump has three advisers: state director Joshua Jones, deputy director Eric Mahroum and Houston-area director Kayla Hensley.)

“But how has your Caesar benefitted the public good”

By creating a very successful business empire. That is the way a businessman benefits the public good.

As for your snarky “Caesar” remark, Trump is the one who has eschewed political power until age 69. It is you little god Cruz that has tried to accrue political power at a very young age for a politician.

By the way, how has Cruz benefited the public good? Was it his vote for TPA, his vote for the Corker bill, his call for a 500% increase in H1-B visas, his call for more immigration, his call to legalize illegals?

And you evidently have on record Cruz’s U.S. citizenship verification documents that you can release to us. Cruz won’t.

Presume Cruz decides to eventually run for Senate reelection, who’s going to run against him? I definitely want to get in early to support them.

More important will be President Trumps support for Rafaels opponent in the 2018 TX primary .

“Hay - oh - art” is about as close as I can come to replicating it.

your comment is why so many people are angry at this site.
It really is.
That you would repeat such a slander with impunity.
It is the equivalent, “When did you stop beating your wife?” comment of 75 years ago...

No, those pictures looked real and would like to know if they were? Are you saying they were proven false?

Last time I checked this site enjoyed freedom of speech which includes asking non PC questions.

Dont be afraid of anger.

Be afraid of indifference.

Why is Cruz such a zombie liar?
Why did Cruz help ObamaTRADE?
Why did Cruz not deny the charges of the Bang of 8, himself
and with his own (not bought with $500,000) wife?
What was the role of Cruz’s father with Oswald?

Then there is Sgt. Tahmooressi, the Marine who took a wrong turn on the California / Mexico border and was held in a Mexican prison for a number of months.

When Sgt. Tahmooressi was eventually freed and he returned to his home state of Florida, Sgt. Tahmooressi came forward and said that Donald Trump gave him $20,000 to get back on his feet.

This has gone WAY beyond where it should. Cruz hasn’t a shred of honor.

I'd compare Cruz to Al Gore's sore loser attempts to take the White House at the end of 2000, only that wouldn't be entirely fair - to Gore. Gore could at least claim that he won the nationwide popular vote and was close enough to the margin of error in Florida to call a recount. Ted doesn't even have that excuse.

You’re so right and there are many other stories out there. I particularly liked hearing the Tahmooressi story as it showed again Trump’s fidelity to our military. Obama didn’t lift a finger to help him. Trump was outspoken about his plight and I’m sure his gift went a long way with Tahmooressi.
The whole affair is ANOTHER reason to build the wall. Good Neighbors, especially those sucking blood from us, do not throw an innocent man in jail for making a wrong turn. Mexico be damned.

The only person he's really hurting with all of this is himself. He won't be able to walk this behavior back.

I have asked myself many times what he has to gain by this behavior. Nothing that I can see.

I have more respect for Gore than this whiny pos - and I was an early supporter. Gore even won the popular vote. Cruz has won nothing.

Believe me, I know what it's like to support someone only to be disappointed later.

I remember it well. Gore tried every nasty trick in the RAT playbook and invented a few they didn't have. Cruz and Gore seem cut from the same cloth.

If a state legislature were to officially censure a US senator, the senator would merely say, "I was elected by the people of this state, not the legislature. The members of the legislature can go pound sand."

The only rebuke that can be delivered to a federal officer is to defeat him at election time.

Back when US senators were chosen by state legislatures, the older states had provisions in their state constitutions that provided for a state legislature to impeach a US senator and replace him. This has never happened because the courts have ruled that the US Constitution does not provide for the impeachment, recall or removal of federal officeholders except through election, and Article VI of the US Constitution, i.e. the Supremacy Clause, makes the US Constitution superior over all state constitutions.

Each House of Congress can expel a member by a two thirds vote, which has been done in the past.

Hmmm.....

How about a grassroots petition, signed by Texans, delivered to the State Legislature? The petition could be a People’s Request to the State Legislature to officially censure Globalist Cruz?

It would carry no weight, save the P.R. it would bring to the extent of disgust felt for him by the People...

Then again, maybe it’s too much of a stretch....You are probably right, nothing to do but wait him out, I guess.
