We need the Senate. He likely has a better chance of being re-elected than a newbie.
To: bigbob
Why would he even say anything to hint at this? Trump will not be a one term President, cruz will do anything not to work....and live in fantasy land...

As far a Republican senators go, Ted has been pretty conservative, but his masked was ripped off in a major way this primary season. He turned out to not be as conservative as many had hoped, and there’s some serious issues with his demeanor and overall ability to play in the sandbox. He may even be a little off kilter. Who knows? And he will forever be seen as Lyin’ Ted.

Personally, I’d be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and learn from his mistakes of the present in the hope that he becomes an ally of the future.

no no no no.... Don’t think about getting rid of him- he is an incumbent senator...and he was/is good in the senate
If the GOP tries to primary him that would be bad

On what basis do you want to primary Cruz? Because he opposed Trump? He has two votes that he needs to explain: Corker and TPP. Those are troubling, especially Corker. Otherwise he's great.
Instead of primarying conservatives, let's go after RINOs like Juan McCain, Mark Kirk and Jeff Flake.

But little Marco is missing his chance this year. He’ll have to spend the next few years at foam parties.
It’s win win for a constitutional senate, and the ‘Gang’ is down to 7.

Primary him. Some of you folks trash Cruz and then you whine when some Cruz supporters don't unite around Trump.
Hillary needs to loose. Your type of posts are helping her.

No need for 2020 hopefully. Worry about 2024.

"Primary him." A few weeks ago Amanda Carpenter let it slip on CNN that during his first year in the Senate, Cruz traveled around the country going to Lincoln Day dinners to schmooze possible future delegates for a presidential run. She said that she knows this because she worked for him and scheduled it. Then she tried to immediately backtrack, paraphrasing, "but he wasn't planning to run yet," trying to reverse the bombshell she had accidentally just dropped. IMO he did not plan to serve his senate term. He wanted higher office and of course still does. Surely Texas has another qualified person who can run (and was born in the United States.)

I will donate $$$ to anyone challenging him for reelection. Lyn’ Ted needs to be retired.

One of the commenters at the Scott Adams blog said that Cruz reminded her of a mortician trying to sell you the most expensive casket. Ever since reading that I can’t get the image out of my mind.

Why primary him? Because he ran against Trump?

Good luck with that, Ted.
