I know the polls say Donald Trump cannot win. But what if we are looking at the wrong poll question?
What if Trump’s overwhelming negatives don’t matter? Or, to put it another way, what if the country’s negatives matter more?
Right now, about 6 in 10 Americans have an unfavorable view of Trump, and only 36 percent view him positively.
But the country is faring even worse. In the most recent average of polls calculated by RealClearPolitics, 26.9 percent of Americans think the nation is headed in the right direction and 64.9 percent think we are heading down the wrong track.
So what if even voters who respect Hillary Clinton’s competence reject her as the embodiment of business as usual? And what if even voters who do not like Trump’s bigotry or bluster care more that he will, in their view, shake things up?

Remarkable that at late stage the media CONTINUES with such crap. Indeed, when the young protege of Valerie was drawing large crowds and beating the establishment candidates, the media was enthusiastic for the little fella.
But, here we have a Republican who is bringing them in....so the tune is different.
Amazing that these media schmucks never have it occur to them that two thirds of the country thinks we are on the wrong track, but to nobody blames Obama or thinks twice about giving Hillary a third Obama term to continue this mess. What idiots.
It might be that some of the “unfavorable” are folks who love to hate Trump. hillary, on the other hand...

They say Clinton is competent and is a bigot. Of course this is a lie.
But notice that Trump is the only one they fear. The evil and corrupt Democrats in Washington considered the Republicans to be weaklings and cowards and easy to push around.
But they fear Trump.

Exactly. What competence has she demonstrated? She's the anti-Midas. And as for experience, sure, she's experienced in crime, corruption, and failure.
WaPo can polish this turd all it wants, but there's no hidng the smell.

In other news: Hillary continues to win the delegate votes by a landslide while Bernie wins the popular votes. But the Democrats are united.
It is becoming more apparent to Democrats by the day that Hillary can not, and will not, be their nominee.
In public, they are joyful over the “split” in the GOP.
In private, they are changing their Depends by the hour over how they get the Harridan out of the way.
Hillary Clinton's "competence" is like Obama's "intelligence" - just part of the scam.
