You are right. Trump is the closest thing to the perfect Republican candidate for 2016. He is also clearly the most Conservative--especially when you prioritize the issues.

Will anyone deny that the most important political issue from a pure Conservative position, is the continuity of the United States of America in a recognizable form? What could possibly be more important to any Conservative?

Secondly, what issues could be more important in that obvious pursuit than controlling our borders; in determining whom we allow to settle in America; in trying to protect the jobs and potential jobs of our rooted citizens from the manipulation by special interests?

Finally, a realistic analysis will indicate that the primary method of those who are destroying Conservative values in America has been the stifling doctrine of "political correctness." Who has struck the most meaningful blow against that stifling mechanism in the past twenty years? Surely the truest Conservative of the original 17 Republican candidates: Donald Trump!

Does anyone think that I have misstated the priorities?

We’d be under Muslim rule by now if Gore had been President.

I mean even more so than we are now.

in my opinion, the GOP went on death watch when the red, liberal media took Barry Goldwater down in 1964. This was cemented with the 18 year old vote 26th Amendment in 1971.

I doubt it. True Muslim rule would not be good for the Uniparty. the parasite won’t *kill* the host

Not misstated, but one sad factor is that a party with Trump (the best and last man standing, I agree) has little or no ‘moral’ credibility. I’ll be happy if he does 1/10th of what he’s promised, but can’t call it the ‘party of family values’ when your head is a foul mouthed philanderer, even if he is capable of figuring out and doing the right things on immigration and trade :-(

It’s interesting to think, for the past four decades, the fate of the Republican Party has basically been determined by the extent to which it is or is not ruled by the Bush family. Hopefully, Trump will finally put a stake in them, but it’s not going to be easy.

I agree with the merger deal with the dims. They are all part of the One World Government group now. Those with power keep power forever and everyone else gets to keep being on the low end forever.

My view of the Trump vs. Cruz contest has always been that each is a very good man, with Trump being the better for this election. Cruz is definitely more of a pure conservative thinker, while Trunp has come to his world view through a lot of hard experience and achieving a 10 billion dollar fortune, something very few people have ever been able to do. Not only that, Trujmp did it in the utterly cut throat world of NYC. If one looks at his views, Trump is actually quite close to Cruz, especially where it comes to SCOTUS nominees, the single most important thing the next Preswident is going to do. That left me with the question of which of these fine men do I support to move the country’ as far to the right as possible. Trump’s great experience and ability in the real world caused me to chose him and I continue to support him.

Given all that, I have to look at #NeverfTrumnp and ask what they are up to. The only thing is electing the Witch. That makes them an unpatriotic, self-centered bunch of three year old “adults” staging a screeching rule or ruin tantrum that will plunge this wonderful country into an everlasting nightmare if they succeed.

The clearest "family value" is the survival of the political & social heritage of the rooted American family.

Describing someone as a "philanderer" implies that you have knowledge that I doubt that you have. (In any event, the Conservative way to deal with personal--as opposed to public excesses--is not to publicize them). And, of course, King Solomon was no celibate; but no one suggests stripping his books out of the Bible.

As for the particular Conservative's mouth--I would agree that I sometimes cringe at what I consider an inappropriate choice of words, particularly when directed at a women in public. But that does not cancel out the fact that on the primary issue--the preservation of America in a recognizable form--Donald Trump is head and shoulders above any body else in the present political context. I may cringe, sometimes, when he appears not know the gentlemanly (and most effective) way to deal with a pretty, but hostile, girl talking head. I will work very hard to see him elected.

<<The GOP if it embraces the opportunity provided by Trump to become the true party of the working class it will be resurrected even stronger than before. As long as we have two parties ruled by elitists disconnected from the realities of most citizens parasitizing the US economy America is doomed. Trump provides the first opportunity in a long time to reset the baseline and allow America and Americans to rise again.<<

Excellent observation. Bears repeating...

As far as the People are concerned, trump is the last chance to salvage the Republican Party as far as something they can support....

>>>foul mouthed philanderer<<<

I’m 62 Years Old. In my 20’s I could have been referred to as a “foul mouthed philanderer” even though I was a Registered Republican and considered myself Conservative.

Not a rock ribbed Conservative mind you, but a Conservative with Libertarian leanings. In the day I was vastly outnumbered by my Peers who in no way shared my Political beliefs.

On FR I read Posts where FReepers admit to all sorts of illicit behavior in their past such as Alcoholism, Pot Smoking (some still do and freely admit it) and having a History of Sexual Conquests.

Which reminds me. Who is most pinged Freeper? Lazmataz. LOL

With all that, these same FReepers are steadfast Patriots who support Conservative Policies, many with a Libertarian slant such as myself.

The last perfect Human left the Building about 2000 Years ago as I recall.

<> Federal agencies grew under Richard Nixon, for example, it was under Nixon that the EPA was established. He signed it into law I believe in 1970.

The Bush family was bad for republicans and the USA.

Yep. The good news is that they're done, probably permanently. The damage has been immense though.

I don’t know. Jeb has a son that has been trying to make political waves in Texas. I am not sure they’ll go away but at least they’re gone for now.

I thought Trump’s now and again vulgar language was refreshing. I doubt any of us have not said or heard the words he has on occasion used. Actually he talks the way men talk on the job, and if you have taken offense at his words you wouldn’t want to be around me when something goes wrong. He was being polite.
