70 Delegates at Stake for WV, NE Primaries on Tuesday
Posted on 05/08/2016 12:16:54 PM PDT by SamAdams76
Not a lot of polling has been done since Donald Trump became the presumptive nominee the evening of May 3, after his blockbuster win in Indiana that forced Cruz and Kasich from the race.
Since the Wisconsin primary last month, Trump has been on a killer streak, winning virtually every county in NY, CT, RI, MD, DE, PA and IN.
By most accounts, Trump is currently at 1,068 delegates, needing only 167 more delegates to secure the nomination. It is no longer a matter of if, but when, Trump secures these delegates (and then adds a cushion).
70 of these delegates can go to Trump Tuesday night. It is a virtual certainty Trump will win WV big, with perhaps over 70 per cent of the vote. This will get him all 34 delegates available. The only relatively uncertainty was NE, which until recently, was assumed to go into the Cruz column. But if Trump can win a plurality there, he will take all 36 delegates which will push his total to 1,138 delegates, needing only 97 more delegates with OR, WA, SD, NM, NJ, MT and CA to come.
If Trump runs the table, as he should, he will go into the convention with over 1,500 pledged delegates.
Not bad for a man who was supposedly on the ropes after the Wisconsin defeat last month.

Thanks for the videos of Ivanka. I can not remember another campaign where the family of the candidate was so classy. Even classier than the candidate himself! It will be so nice to have a First Family that does not have anybody that is scowling, complaining or otherwise being an embarrassment or distraction to the president.
To think that just a week ago many of us were worried about Trump getting to the 1,237 and now suddenly 1,500 delegates is a real possibility.

Dunno about that lack of scowling. The future first beagle is uncertain about the whole thing... LOL

Trump has anything he wants to have.

Those are good - Thanks!
I’m so glad that they are not stopping the fight for votes and delegates. They MUST overcome the vote/delegate fraud efforts.
FWIW someone threw a Trump interview by Alex Jones over the transom at us yesterday. It is about 1/2 hour, and is actually pretty good.
I can only take Alex Jones in tiny doses, (I never really know what to think about him) but this one I enjoyed.

LBJ had beagles too.... the useless turkey would pick them up by the ears. Bet The Donald doesn’t do that.

Yes. Real dogs, not wearing red pants suits.
Delegate math:
Currnt Delegates: 1073
5/10 WV 34 Delegate separate 34
5/10 NE 36 Winner take all CD 36
Sub-Total 1143
5/17 OR 21 Proportional no threshold 28 (Figuring 75%)
Sub-Total 1164
5/24 WA 44 Winner take most 44
Sub-Total 1208
6/7 NJ 51 Winner take all 51
6/7 SD 29 Winner take all 29
6/7 MT 27 Winner take all 27
6/7 NM 21 Proportional 15% threshold 24
6/7 CA 172 Winner take all CD 172
Total 1508
That works...

He was a Democrat, so it was OK with the media. Imagine if a Republican had done it...

I flatly refuse to vote for Trump or Hillary, as this race has come down between two New York Liberals and don’t give me that lesser of two evils crap either!
