Washington (CNN) Sarah Palin will work to defeat House Speaker Paul Ryan by backing his primary opponent in Wisconsin, the former Alaska governor told CNN's Jake Tapper.
Palin said in an interview that airs Sunday on "State of the Union" that her decision was sparked by Ryan's bombshell announcement to Tapper last week that he wasn't yet ready to support Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee. Palin endorsed Trump back in January.
"I think Paul Ryan is soon to be 'Cantored,' as in Eric Cantor," Palin said, referring to the former Republican House majority leader who was ousted in a shocking upset in 2014 when challenger Dave Brat ran to his right in a Virginia primary.

If he can’t understand the consequences of his statements, Ryan doesn’t deserve to be Speaker of the House.
His statement regarding not supporting Trump was childish and petty. This is why primaries were invented.
The WI state primary is August 9th.

Ryan is scheduled to meet with Trump this week, will “develop a fuller understanding of why Mr. Trump is such a great patriot” and be on the Trump Train by Friday.

Doesn’t Trump have a pow wow with the presumptive ex-speaker this week? I don’t think Sarah come out like this if it would go against Trump’s wishes. The decision must have happened already.
Ryan needs to be somehow removed from the Chairmanship of the Republican National Convention. He can do great harm well before the August primary. I don’t know how to do it, but he must be neutralized or converted or he can campaign for Hillary by damaging Trump from the podium, even denouncing him.

Ryan’s opponent, Paul Nehlen, was barred from the Wisconsin GOP Convention in April.
Why didn’t Ryan fight Obama as hard as he fights Trump?
