Donald Trump threw a new claim Hillary Clinton's way at a Saturday rally, telling the crowd that she wants to do away with the Second Amendment.
"Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to abolish it," Trump said at a Saturday rally in Lynden, Wash. "Hillary Clinton wants to take your guns away and she wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to take the bullets away."
"We're going to cherish the Second Amendment, we're going to take care of the Second Amendment."
Clinton is in favor of universal background checks, closing loopholes on gun purchases and increasing restrictions on domestic abusers and the mentally ill. And she wants to repeal the law that prevents victims of gun violence from suing retailers or manufacturers, among other measures.
But Clinton said at a recent event that "we can't ignore the Second Amendment" and has never proposed ending legal gun ownership entirely.
After Trump's comments, Clinton spokesman Jesse Lehrich tweeted that the presumptive GOP nominee has "no regard for facts."

But while the anti-gun movement has long been intellectually dishonest under the guise of promising to protect hunting rights as the government implements “common sense” and “modest” gun control laws, over the weekend Clinton openly embraced the idea of a national, mandated gun buyback program similar to the one implemented in Australia.
“Recently Australia managed to get away, or take away, tens of thousands, millions, of handguns. In one year they were all gone. Can we do that? If we can’t, why can’t we?” an attendee at a New Hampshire campaign event asked Clinton.
“I think it would be worth considering doing it on the national level, if that could be arranged,” the White House hopeful replied, embracing not only a mandated national buyback program but getting rid of handguns in the United States. This statement proves that NRA leadership isn’t wrong when it warns of Clinton’s anti-gun philosophical and policy positions.
Clinton has promised to use executive power if she wins in 2016 to implement new gun control measures that have repeatedly failed in Congress, even if her administration gets sued for doing so. Her position is not a representation of common sense or modest proposals, it’s confiscation in direct conflict of the Second Amendment and Supreme Court precedent.
No matter how much somebody hates Trump, they have to consider the future under Hillary, a Dem senate, and 3 or 4 new SCOTUS appointments.
The 2nd amendment would be reinterpreted within a year.
With Hillary -
First Amendment= GONE
Second Amendment = GONE
Tenth Amendment = GONE
Israel = GONE
America = Won’t Survive.

Hillary Clinton has said on record that she wants an Australia type gun ban, so for all the #NeverTrump people, will they be fine and dandy with Clinton coming and getting their guns..Trump is no saint, but you will have a 2nd Amendment with him, under Clinton/Warren/Sanders, say adios to your 2nd Amendment rights
You are exactly right. Life as we know it will end under a Hillary presidency. Those that hate Trump have a simple choice. They can vote for Trump and get some of what they want or allow Hillary to win and get none of what they want.
Correct term is “repeal.”
In reality, she will likely not “abolish” or “repeal” but rather “ignore,” with liberal judges allowing it.

When Slick Willie was the prez, she did say that she and “Bill” were going to have to take some of our freedoms away.
