Washington (CNN)Former Vice President Dick Cheney will support Donald Trump, he told CNN Friday, an important move as the presumptive Republican nominee is encountering intense resistance from senior members of his own party. Cheney told CNN Special Correspondent Jamie Gangel that he has always supported the GOP nominee and will do so this year as well.
The announcement makes Cheney one of the few Republican Party elders to announce their support of Trump and comes a day after House Speaker Paul Ryan told CNN he is "just not ready" to back Trump.

Cheney wanted GWB to pardon his friend Scooter Libby for supposedly lying during the investigation of the Valerie Plame incident, but GWB wouldn’t do it.
Cheney has always been a class act and a true country first person.
This made me so happy

can we do Trump/Cheney 2016???
Great hat, you magnificent bastard!
:>)
TTTT!
Plus his smarts make them look like grade school-er in old age...
Great to hear.
Go Trump!
“Ryan, Cruz, and others”
As far as I know, Cruz has been silent since his defeat, which is the proper and honorable thing to do. I think only that P.O.S Lindsey Graham played the sour grapes card (over and over again) repeatedly attacking Donald Trump at the behest of his GOPe masters after Graham threw in the Presidential towel.
Cruz may very well come around and endorse the GOP nominee. He almost has to if he wants to stay in politics given his pledge to support the eventual GOP nominee. Jeb can get away with this nonsense because, as he has said, he “has better things to do”, i.e., we won’t have Jeb Bush to kick around anymore. Ever.
Graham said he was a "little bit" surprised when informed by CNN's Dana Bash that Cheney was supporting Trump.
"Dick Cheney's a great man. We see the world a lot alike when it comes to foreign policy. I can understand when people want to support the nominee of the Republican Party. I would like to be able to do that, but I just can't," Graham said. "Maybe I'm the outlier here. Probably am. There'll be Democrats who can't support Hillary Clinton, and you know some of them will hold their nose and vote for her. Some of them will do it enthusiastically."
h/t to martin_fierro for the graphic
interesting. I am not sure that interview was included in the original article.
So he’s saying well maybe i could hold my nose?...
Maybe he will forget to stop...lol
