Cruz ran a tremendous campaign and brought the Constitution forward as the single most important element to restoring America’s greatness. He is brilliant guy who has served us well as the most formidable conservative in politics today, bar none. Things got off track after NY and the northeast but I knew he would put the better interests of the country ahead of what would have been futile after IN. I am proud to have voted for him in FL.

Trump will be well advised to let things heal a bit and then seek out his support. My wildest dreams would be that the Trump campaign put pressure on the party to press McConnell to retire and push Cruz as next Senate Majority Leader. He is what we need running the senate agenda during a Trump presidency if we are ever going to make America great again. Let’s see what happens.

Did you witness the cruz blow up yesterday?

Expect that same reaction x 10 when trump puts the vice on the hildabeast

She may cry

Newt Gingrich said that if Trump ran the same kind of campaign in the general election as the primaries every single state would be in play. That means that Hillary would have to defend every state and she most likely does not have the stamina for that.

He’ll get the stink of Ted off his hands in time.

Yes I caught that. Now I wonder if it is something I posted many months ago when there was bromance between Donald and Ted. Is there any possibility that all this fighting between them was a Kabuki Theater “FOR” the Establishment? Yes I know Heidi was a member of the CFR but like I have stated is there any possibility that Ted Cruz was using the Establishment in his campaign to garner delegates and money to come in second to prevent anyone from the establishment gaining ground. In other words let the majority go to Donald and Ted ONLY. We shall see. Don’t be shocked folks if it comes to Trump/Cruz vs. Cankles.

Now let me put on my tin foil hat.

I was hoping for Herself to turn purple and then her eyes bulge out and froth at the mouth.

Good fun!

In the decades to come, Ted will cherish the time that he spent sharing a stage with Donald. It's a club that's even more exclusive than the exclusive club that Ted belongs to.

Do you care to elaborate on the exclusive club that Ted belongs to already?

I think Trump did not throw out the idea that Cruz has a very bright future ahead of him if Trump were not telegraphing something he has in mind. Trump emphasized also the idea that Ted is a great competitor as if Trump was impressed by Ted’s competitive talent. Wonder what that is all about.

“Trump can most likely find some position in the administration, which will be a good one for Cruz.
Cruz is already in the Senate - why would he want some flunky Cabinet position? Even Attorney General wouldn’t quite do the trick. “

Attorney General will be a very important position for a President Trump. With his limited knowledge of the Constitution and aggressive instincts, he will need a very strong Attorney General who will be willing to say no to him. I’m afraid Trump will look for the opposite.

I love that about Donald. He’ll fight you but if he wins he’ll extend a hand and move on as friends. He really started the healing.

Trump will steamroll Hillary...Way too much baggage with her for ammunition....
My guess is Trump has had people putting together this ammo for a while....

Hillary is doing the same. I doubt she will find much on Trump but her slimy minions are digging away. Hillary might get ill or be hospitalized for exaustion once Trump starts hitting her (and Bill) hard with the cold truth on her greed and stupidity exemplified by the Benghazi fiasco.

Perhaps a role as a Supreme Court Judge? Who knows what Trump has in my mind. Like I said we will have to wait and see.

You are correct. These are different times. If the establishment could not hold back Trump, it is only a matter of time that empty suits like McConnell will be forced out. We can’t wait for them to go willingly. They are the problem.
I just think Cruz’s energy needs to be directed in a way that suits him and really helps the country and there is nothing I would love more than to see him as Senate Majority Leader. I recognize it’s a longshot.

Cruz just didn’t know when to quit. I can respect that, although I hope he hasn’t done significant damage to our cause.

Apparently he did; he suspended his campaign tonight, surprising many, and Trump responded positively to him. Hopefully, it will lead to a victory over Clinton in the Fall.

As a Cruz supporter, it was time for him to drop out. Had he stayed in I could have no longer supported him for trying to split the vote even further. Trumps tone tonight gave me some hope that we can put this back together. I just hope Trump doesn’t take a giant leap left either now or after he is elected. Time will tell.

***

Thank you.

See, I can be civil too, even if I’ve been pretty loud and obnoxious. I’d LOVE to put all the rancor behind us and work together.

I get the feeling that there’s still a lot of anger to work through between people, though.
