Donald Trump is obsessed with race-baiting conspiracy theories
MSDNC ^ | May 3, 2016 | Benjy Sarlin

As Donald Trump reminded the world Tuesday morning, the Republican Party is on the verge of nominating a conspiracy theorist who regularly uses debunked Internet and tabloid rumors to smear his enemies.

In the latest case, Trump seized on a ludicrously thin-sourced National Enquirer story to insinuate Sen. Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, was involved in the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald’s being, you know, shot,” Trump told Fox News over the phone. “I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous. What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don’t even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.”

Like the way the Communists use the blacks to agitate and cause disruption to the American way of life.

Well Ted Cruz is the Zodiac killer, so it MUST run in the Family...

Obviously!

I mean it is in the National Enquirer and would Mr. Pecker lead us astray?

Seems to me that Trump was raising questions about Cruz’ connection to Oswald’s assassination, not JFK’s

Still it was a blunder by Trump. I don’t see how those comments help him in any way.

I am a loyal Trump supporter. But, that was really stupid and uncessary for Trump to say. Why?? Big mistake. There are still undecided voters out there. I believe Trump will win. It will be closer than we all think. Hope I am wrong.

I heard trump this morning live with that call in. It was obvious to me that Donald brought that up as the soup du jour.

Totally keeping the narrative choice firmly away from Cruz. Thanks to Rush and others it worked. I assume Ted's anger today was more fueled by losing another duel than Trump attacking his Father.

Tomorrow no one will remember this resurrection of Lee H. Oswald.

Like the way the Communists use the blacks to agitate and cause disruption to the American way of life.

Lenin observed that the Blacks in America were the most violent, the most dis-satisfied, and arguably the most oppressed at that time. He said that they would be the vanguard of the revolution, a comment duly noted by professional agitator and conman Van Jones.

.... I am a little concerned that Mr. Trump seems to be relying a bit too much upon the National Enquirer for information.

...... Although .... If he does become President .... Perhaps The National Enquirer could very well become the new Fox News or be the core of a new American Intelligence Gathering Agency LOL.

Well Trump does latch on to some pretty idiotic stuff. Don’t think the Democrats aren’t going to use it against him in the fall.
