They are delusional. Do not think for a minute they suddenly are seeing the light. They are now working to co-opt Trump and to get their filthy hooks of control into him.
The way they foisted the Bush family on Reagan, they want their GOPe veep. They also want many key cabinet positions that can work to negate anything Trump wants.

The game now is to let him be president, but to FILL the government with their people.
This is a dangerous phase.

The cold face of reality is setting in for some. For Cruz he went off the deep end during a interview. It will take awhile for Ted to recover.

++++++++++

You are exactly correct. I have been wondering why they didn’t attempt this sooner.

“The game now is to let him be president, but to FILL the government with their people.”

Ok, but that's a HUGE improvement over trying to derail Trump's getting the nomination and threatening to run a third party candidate. Let's be happy about this.

I’ve been saying this for a while now.... Yes, there will be a group that will nevertrump until the end, but they won’t be the majority.... Trump isn’t eeking out a minor win here, he’s crushing it...

Enough of the GOP leadership will realize that trying to deny the nomination to Trump and actively fighting against him is a bad move long term for the part.

Some won’t and will do it anyway, but the GOP as a whole will not wind up falling on its sword to deny Trump the nomination or the presidency.

If you were looking at some really close primary then things would be different, but even those who may not want Trump and believe he is a long term detriment will come to realize that to try to deny him the nomination or support him at this point would be suicidal for the party.

Trump, like him or not, is going to be the nominee, and the next President. If he’s terrible in 2020 he’ll be gone.. but given what both parties have given us for the last 28 years, its really hard to think of a tangible way he’ll be worse than what they’ve offered.

Improvement?

Why do Americans insist on the delusion that they can teach people how to behave

The bushes are a dynasty. They don’t improve

They are moving into the ‘how do we stop trump from the White House?’ Phase. They did it to Reagan

You know they have never spoken well of Reagan or at all in the years since moving in on him

NO it is nothing to be happy about. If one is disgusted by the GOP, them switching to subterfuge instead of open warfare is nothing to be pleased about. Now instead of being open enemies, they will pretend to be reasonable friends. That makes them even more dangerous.

Trump only has appeal if he is not Bush and GOP. If he is co-opted by them, he would be useless. The worst of Reagan was the Bush family being further inflicted on America.

I generally agree. If he accepts them I think it would be knowingly.
