After walking away with the majority of delegates in Wyoming and Colorado, Sen. Ted Cruz was on a roll. His knowledge of the obscure, internecine delegate fights gave him a tactical advantage over front-runner Donald Trump, which could end up deciding the Republican nomination for president.
This is how elections are won in America, said Cruz.
The Texas senator saw a silver lining to his declining polls as he heads into Tuesdays critical Indiana primary. According to the National Review, The political world was captivated and Trump supporters were infuriated by the Cruz campaigns successful effort to elect large blocs of friendly delegates at a series of state-party conventions.

I voted for Ted in the Alabama primary. I wouldn’t do the same today.
Ted jumped the shark when he started to brag about winning voter-less states
He did this to himself
Im not freaking..Im too old to freak. One thing, I dont depend on republicans to advocate for me, they suck....
“This is how elections are won in America, said Cruz.”
There are no, zip, zero, nada, Trump supporters on the NH delegation, a state he won, to the Convention.
Rigged.
The Great Conservative Hope is a fraud so his delegates and supporters should freak.
He complained that Drudge didn’t give him a siren for getting the Colorado delegates. That was too much like another term of Obama for me.
He’s not just losing, he’s a loser.
If they start rubbing cheeto dust on their faces, I would say that would be a defiitive sign. Until then, I don’t think so. Depressed maybe, angry, possibly. Not freaking out yet.
Go with a winner or another year of also-rans.
Yep, you are correct! Cruz did this to himself. Cruz and his supporters were so arrogant about the process.
“Assume Crash Position!!”
Ted jumped the shark when he blamed the behavior of the Bernie Bro Sandinistas getting violent at a Trump rally on Trump.
New Hampshire fight over delegates...
That’s really unbelievable.
and disgusting.
He lost me all the way back to Iowa when he sent out those mailers that revealed your neighbors’ voting record to you, and yours to them. Such a weird “Big Brother” thing to do.
And it got worse when the campaign’s reaction to the outcry was basically, “Hey, everybody does it.”
Not exactly something you’d expect from a “Constitutional conservative.”
I think [last Tuesdays vote] spooked a lot of people, says Jim Poolman, a North Dakota delegate who had previously committed to a first-ballot convention vote for Cruz. But I want to be clear, I think the will of the people does mean something, as well. Donald Trump has gotten a lot of support across the country, and just [last Tuesday], winning five [states] is one heckuva showing. Poolman hedged his support for Cruz by stating he will see how the remaining primaries play out.
Whether you're a Trump supporter or not, allowing party insiders to choose delegates is nothing more than making sure that "outsiders" don't play by the same rules as party insiders and establishment favorites do.
Anyone that falls back on the "them's the rules" BS is a hypocrite that would be screaming bloody murder if the shoe was on the other foot.
Yeah, those “Voter Violation” letters in Iowa ticked me off, too.
It just shows you what a scumbag Cruz is underneath that so-called conservative exterior.
That’s all he had to brag about. How many delegates he ripped off by hook or crook.
Like my dad often told me, ‘some people lie so much they start to believe their own lies.’
