Speculation abounds as Fox News talking head Andrea Tantaros is no longer appearing on air.
In response to a query from TV Newser, Fox issued a terse statement:
“Issues have arisen regarding Andrea’s contract, and Fox News Channel has determined it best that she take some time off. She is still under contract with the network.”
That opens the question of what could have changed regarding her contract all of a sudden.
The Examiner opens a few doors on what might (or might not) be at issue with Tantaros and the network:
While not cited by FNC as a reason for her extended vacation, Tantaros recently claimed during a taping of Outnumbered that certain GOP Establishment-types were coming down hard on her for supporting Donald Trump; "Specifically, Charles Cooke, who is a writer for National Review, he tweeted out that I should give my job to somebody else. Also, a meme by Kevin Williamson of National Review trying to make me seem stupid. I should give up my job according to men in the Republican Party."
In the midst of the Obama Administration's less-than-kosher investigations of certain journalists, Tantaros held little back.
As cited by the NewsHounds.us weblog, while on the air, Tantaros stated quite plainly, "This is Obama’s America. It’s like the Soviet Union. He said he’d change the country. He said it, he said it, he said it, and a lot of people voted for him. And if you see any of those people today, do me a favor, punch 'em in the face. We’ll be right back."

But it is ok to keep the dullard George Will, contentious Rich Lowry, hyperbolic Jonah Goldberg, and the always-right Karl Rove.....
Any conservstive who reads or subscribes to the National Review is foolish. It’s not the publication of William F. Buckley anymore. I cut back watching Ailes and Murdock’s freakin little side show, and I shall totally refrain until Ms. Tantaros is rehired. These gutless sobs fired Conservative E.D.Hill for an anti-Obama comment. They are fakes, phoneys and frauds.
What a waste, that is one fine Latina, I would hit it.

TV is officially a wasteland, though BOR-Watters-Miller is watchable, but that is about it.

The only person permitted to make violent threats on Fox is the Donald himself. He gets bloviating hour after bloviating hour no matter what he says. Oh yeah, it brings in ratings just like Jerry Rivers.

To me, Andrea Tantaros is the only real true conservative on Fox News. She has lived it and knows of what she speaks.
Harris Faulkner is also pretty good and definitely not a blonde lol. And Shannon Bream is about the smartest whip on the air period.
Sad but true. What do you expect from a network 1/2-owned by the saudis?
She used to be on “The Five” from time to time and I think a regular on “Out#”. Like you, we rarely watch faux news anymore. Business fox occasionally. See post #18 of this thread.
