The theatre was built by Terre Haute resident T. W. Barhydt and was designed by John Eberson. Eberson stated, "Into this Indiana Theatre I have put my very best efforts and endeavors in the art of designing a modern theatre such as I have often pictured as what I would do were I given a free hand."Through this quote Eberson confirms that the Indiana Theatre embodies his vision of a dream theater that marked the shift to his atmospheric style.

Throughout its history, the theatre has hosted a wide range of events that have included vaudeville, cinema, performing arts and community celebrations of all types. Long time employees remember nostalgic entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Red Skelton, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Jack Burns, and the Marx Brothers Road Shows at the Indiana Theater. Another big day. I think our man, Donald Trump, is going to blitzkrieg the State of Indiana the next few days and win the hearts and minds of the people there.

I say this because oddly enough, there are many many people in this country who have NOT listened to him more than a few seconds. My brother, a Phd included. He hangs up the phone if I bring up his name. He calls the man a buffoon, a clown.

Then last night with some friends this happened. The man is from Rochester, but living in Georgia. Pretty staunch republican. He voted for Kasich, but now is for Trump. His wife, college educated, says she'll vote for Hillary before Trump, who she calls an entertainer, a charlatan, a clown etc.

Both my brother and her, haven't listened to the man speak, or read his speeches, or read his books.

MY FRIENDS, THE MEDIA HAS PORTRAYED IS TRyING TO PORTRAY THE MAN AS A FAKE, A CON ARTIST.

In summary, I think there are tons and tons of undecideds out there who do not know the man, the man we all here have come to know.

I am going to say this early today.

All of my markers have been triggered to say that the GOPe plans to pull another steal from Trump in Indiana.

All polls have Trump ahead, but FOX and others are using some phony push poll to say Cruz is almost 20 points ahead of Trump.

This is a lie, but this is how they set up a steal to move votes from Trump to Cruz.

The Carly addition and the forced Pence endorsement were two other triggers for a steal for Cruz.

They are going to pull another Wisconsin here and I really resent it.

Keep in mind that Ted Cruz has no problem cheating and stealing this election.

The guy is a menace and a real threat to America.

“THE MEDIA HAS PORTRAYED IS TRyING TO PORTRAY THE MAN AS A FAKE, A CON ARTIST.”

And this year I am most grateful for the internet. Before 2016, you could count on a mix of internet + Fox News to tell a true story. Now that Fox has gone to the dark side, it’s clear that there’s a dearth of the truth on TV.

My mom has been addicted to FNC for decades, is a staunch Republican, and has always (until now) done the right thing. She is in no way connected to the WWW and continues to trust Fox for her information. She voted for Cruz in NY. Things my sister (Baldwin77) and I have told her about both Trump and Cruz she refuses to believe.

If people rely on the airwaves for information, they remain ignorant.

I was born in Fort Wayne, but moved around while growing up. Returned and attended RN Snider HS in Ft. Wayne (any others may recognize the name "Gene Buzzard"). I know the Coliseum well, saw many hockey games and rock concerts there, including the band Chicago, Alice Cooper, Jethro Tull, and Santana. The acoustics in that venue are awful.

Still have quite a few friends who live in Fort Wayne, but I get back there rarely.

Mornin’ nikos....

Thanks for the thread. I was out most of yesterday so I’m going to listen to the speech while I have my coffee.

Those stupid protesters (sorry for the redundancy) are more help than not - all those Mexican flags and gangster looking youth just drive home Mr. Trump’s message.

I’m out again today - making goose/pork sausage at my daughter’s farm. These are the geese my son, daughter and son-in-law shot last season. I play with the kids, they do the work. It’s a good gig!

Enjoy the day, y’all!

Go Trump!

Crooze for the lose!

The Left is very afraid of Trump and their true nature is being revealed all over the Internet which the MSM can no longer ignore so they are actually putting it on the air. We know its so they can get higher ratings and advertiser revenue but hey if it works and forces the MSM to show the ugly face of liberals for the first time in 7 years so be it. The Left is scared $hitle$$ that Trump will tear down all the “progress” (destruction of the U.S. ) they’ve accomplished the last 7 years and that no one will fall for their PC false events BS anymore. Good. I hope the faux Democrap voter base goes home to Mexico and the Middle East once Trump scales back public assistance to reasonable levels and recovers several trillion doing that alone in just a few years. Hopefully that will mean less taxes too.

No question, they will try. But conditions are different, if for nothing else than people have seen more of both candidates.

I posted this on yesterday’s thread (didn’t mean to leave you out of that one, dforest), but it ended up being after Nikos’ post with a link to today’s thread.

Hoosiers - you may be aware of this (article is from Jan), but I just saw it. I wonder if the Koch Bros and/or some of the governors pressured Pence (IIRC S. Martinez from NM is head of the Gov Assoc this year).

“State election division records show Pence’s campaign received the contribution two days before the Dec. 31 reporting deadline. That helped Pence’s campaign raise
some $3.5 million during the last half of 2015, while Gregg’s campaign collected nearly $2 million.

Pence also banked sizeable checks in the last days of
2015 from several out-of-state supporters, including $100,000 from billionaire conservative activist David Koch and $10,000 from former Anheuser-Busch CEO August Busch III.”

Re post from yesterday's thread.

Serving 2 breakfasts today. One regular and a request of mouse1. Perhaps, save the lobster roll for lunch.

The first time I had a lobster roll was 35 years ago on our honeymoon. We were headed for Maine and stopped in Massachusetts. That's where we bought our first lobster roll. Delicious!!!

Tucker Carlson is calling them riots. Hermain Cain was on, too and said they are not spontaneous, they are violent riots period.

Tucker mentioned some had rented rooms in the hotel and unfurled banners, etc.

Also discussing what if Trump supporters demonstrated at a Hillary rally.

Ted Cruz is the speaker at noon lunch today
Carly is speaker at dinner tonight
I wonder if either one of them can get a sentence out that doesn’t include Trump. Guess I’ll have to read about it because I won’t be watching.

Thanks for the thread!

I feel lost without these every day.

Fox weekend is pushing the crap poll showing Cruz 20 pts ahead of our Donald, and will probably push it for the next 4 days. My husband said to their “credit” they said it was an old poll. I had to turn Fox off.

My husband still watches Fox in the morning, and as soon as he leaves, I turn Fox off!!

THANKS for the THREAD and a gathering place of Great conversation here on the FAST moving TRUMP Train**********

I also have family and friends who believe what the media has sold and claim they are open-minded people and well informed. I on the other hand have been sold a silly bill of goods by a con artist. All I have to do is say Trump and they go off!

Cruz had a rally in Jeffersonville, IN yesterday. The crowd I would guess to be a couple of hundred and that’s being generous. Cruz is spending his time down south in my area of the state while Trump is hitting larger venues around college towns. ************

Governor Pence was NOT in Jeffersonville with Cruz. If I remember correctly Rudy says he’s not ready to endorse Trump because then he would have to be on hand all the time when Trump wanted him. This argument comes to head with Cruz in Jeffersonville NOT ASKING PENCE to be there with him? (I think that raises a BIG question ?) Governor Pence fell in line to the Establishment...

Great find “SHERMAN”

That explains why Pence endorsed Cruz unwillingly. Money talks...
