Donald Trump scored a major endorsement from a very beloved Indiana hero, Hoosier basketball coach Bobby Knight. The endorsement serves to give an important boost to help Trump win the state in his march to the nomination. But on CNN Tonight with Don Lemon Thursday when asked to respond to critics that suggest Trump was not a real conservative Knight admitted, “You know, I'm not sure what a conservative is.”
“I don't know whether a conservative is a guy that goes to bed too early or maybe doesn't sleep long enough or just what the hell he might be,” the coach explained. “I don't know. Maybe he's a guy that -- you know, he just wants to be real quiet. I don't know what a conservative is,” he continued.

I don’t care if Bobby Knight doesn’t know what a conservative is. MOST people can’t tell you what a conservative is. I have seen social conservatives be willing to give government all sorts of power in order to get their desired results.
Labels have become meaningless.
The Conservative Industry has almost ruined the conservative movement....but the people will prevail.
That's part of the rest of what he said that is misrepresented by the title.
Knight is using irony to say that labels aren't as important as who the people are.
After the bizarre Ted Cruz Pet Rock campaign, neither does anyone else.

After watching “consistent conservative” Ted and his supporters here, I’m not sure what one is either anymore.
Bobby Knight might not know what a conservative is, but he sure knows what a winner is - TRUMP.
The dozen or so regulars on the North Carolina board once tried to come up with a definition that fit all of us. After a couple of weeks, we gave up.
According to “the experts” Paul Ryan is a conservative, John Boehner is a conservative. They even call John Kasich a conservative.
Either “conservative” means a guy with a knife ready to stab his friends in the back, or Knight is right....the word no longer has much meaning the way we see it played out.
I remember watching a press conference live on TV shortly after Team USA had won the Olympic gold in 1984, and a journalist asked Knight something along the lines of "Was it not as hard to win, because the Russian team wasn't competing?" and Knight got incensed and yelled something like "The Russians know that if they had showed up, we would have kicked their ASSES!"

After supporting, voting for and observing what I was assured were conservatives for Congress, I would have to line up with the coach on this one.
A consistent conservative is a canadian born cuban who ignores constitutional requirements in his quest for the power of the presidency.
A consistent conservative is bought and owned by a long list of globalist and fails to disclose this to his supporters.
